He also doesn't just feel threatened, having a NATO Ukraine directly adjacent is not just a feels threat, but an actual threat.
But by the standards of NATO, a regime that aligns itself with neo-nazi militias is illegitimate. That's why Putin using them as his reason for going in was actually pretty clever imo.

OH NO NO NO NO NO
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I don't get what it is with you Trump voters. Just because he left office doesn't mean you can't talk about him anymore. He was a sitting president of the United fucking States, their influence doesn't end after the next president is inaugurated. The Recession of 2008 didn't end the minute Obama swore the Oath of Office. Tons of people in this thread have been bringing up Obama and Bush to praise Trump for totally being tough on Russia.

You people get triggered at any ill-speak of Trump and come up with the most bullshit excuses to bury your heads in the sand. It's pathetic.
Trump lives rent-free in your otherwise empty head, it's hilarious.

I never said that and you know it.
It is precisely what you posted.
Yeah, because Putin never tried anything, because he didn't feel threatened by Trump.
Why would Trump, or any other US President, threaten the Russian leader who has literally tons of nuclear weaponry at his fingertips? I mean you really have child's view of international politics and relations if you think threatening another country's leader has no real world consequences, which by the way is happening right now in the Ukraine.

People, don't respond to obvious bait posts, even those coming from mods like Trombonista.

But you did spout dumb nonsense about Putin being a good boy under Trump because Trump "didn't threaten him", while acting wildly under Biden because the doddering old fool somehow did by maybe potentially supporting Ukraine joining NATO.

Stop stirring shit up and just do your job, please?

Classic lol

This conflict interesting in the fact this is the first time we've had a large "conventional war" between nations that have somewhat similar technological levels with modern equipment. Sure the Iraqis had t-62s but those aren't shit against a M1. It will be extremely interesting if Ukraine can hold out long enough to get more advanced NATO equipment/vehicles and they get used against the Russians.

If Russia fucks this up this will look like the Winter War all over again, and Russia will fall into obscurity for a VERY long time. Nevermind Ukraine immediately joining NATO afterwards. Hell I could even see China immediately dropping them like a hot potato if that happens. I wonder what will happen to Putin and his cronies if the war goes badly for Russia.

I don't think the Ukrainians are going to "win" but this isn't the first time Russians have fucked up against a weaker power, even if the time periods and technology are different.
