Anything a government admits is probably true, anything they claim is probably false. Civilian video is good at small pictures, and very bad at giving the big one.

I agree, but during a conflict like this a government isn't going to admit anything because they don't want to hurt morale or give up strategically important info, but they'll make a lot of claims. Civilian video has been a better source for what's going on than official sources like the Ukrainian Defense Minister.

You can confirm that one, the Z marking is distinctly Russian. Also the first confirmed sighting of the mark I've seen outside of the south, so we can rule out it being a specific unit.

Yeah weirdly enough St. Petersburg, despite being hundreds of miles north of Moscow, often has relatively mild winters by Russian standards thanks to the moderating influence of the Baltic Sea. So you get a crapload of snow due to lake-effect from Ladoga but temperatures very rarely dip below 18F/-7.6C. The darkness is what really causes winter blues, which is why everybody's popping Vitamin D tablets like it's candy between September and February.

Honestly, that is sad. The West...the people he thought were his allies and friends are done with you. They will not help you, after all while the words "NEVER AGAIN!" were uttered by the lips of those who were alive during the Holocaust when the genocide reared it's ugly head again the West response were meek condemnation between drinks at the UN.

You need to assess your options. The Russians are right outside your capitol and the Deus ex machina of the some American B2 or whatever is going to remain a fantasy. Once your capitol is gone expect your forces to get demoralized. It's not even that you can take it back.

So why continue to beg and plead? Preferably surrender or fight but get off TV with your begging.

This is starting to resemble the long term consequences of the winter war where the Finnish knew they couldn't stop the Russian juggernaut taking over all of the nation without help but they could bleed them as much as possible for Moscow to keep questioning the value of the war. How much damage can Ukraine do to Russia is the real battle. Ukraine will lose the war no doubt, just how much of a body count can it rack up is the real battle.

The BMP is an Infantry Fighting Vehicle, not a tank, but that's whatever. Engine is still running and the tracks are still on, so I'm guessing they took a non-disabling hit, panicked, bailed, and got caught in the crossfire.
