NATO is meeting. Will the situation escalate? Who knows!

I need a farmer to hold my hand rn the psyops have really got to me bros.

What is the likelihood of this turning nuclear? I didn't give a fuck about covid but this is really getting to me for some reason.
Bitch before ANYTHING goes anywhere near nuclear the US and Russia would have to be engaged in direct war, no gay ass proxy war in the middle east doesn't count and much less when the US troops are still in Poland just helping refugees trough the border.
And even then US and Russia would both prefer to leave nukes out of it because once the first nuke flies a thousand will follow, there would have to be a catastrophic cavalcade of fuck ups before any country considers nuclear warfare because the second you launch one you'll have the rest of the world targeting you with theirs.
Granted Biden is senile enough to give the order but there's several different independent people holding the keys that can just say "yeah no you're fucking stupid" and not launch them

To be fair from what I have observed, India is an interesting ally if not tentative one to the USA and the West. They hate China however they have always had deals with Russia in terms of buying weapons and other things. This news honestly doesn't really surprise me.
The Indian military is too heavily invested with Russian gear, including recent purchases such as the S-400. They really don't have a choice, and because they are an important friend and ally against China, US lets it slide and waives sanctions against Indian companies who work with blacklisted Russian entities.

They say this is Kharkov right now but it seems a little too dark for that to be true.

Ukraine may be meeting with Russian officials soon in Warsaw to negotiate, these are the Russian demands:
  • Lugansk and Donetsk regions returned to the borders of 2014.
  • Recognize Crimea
  • Non-admission into NATO
  • Stop receiving weapons from Western countries

Putin says that whether or not Ukraine is willing to negotiate, they will meet these goals. It looks like there isn't going to be an occupation.

A LPR soldier apart of the Russian separatist movement is asked if it's been hard, he says "Eight years it's been hard, now it's easy"

He's right though. Western media ties all conflicts to irrelevant domestic political garbage. What the war actually is. What it's about. Who is fighting it and how. Yeah, none of that gets reported or talked about. Hence the Trump/Biden sperging yesterday.
I'm not disagreeing I just think it's important for people who aren't retards to not engage with their bullshit.

About 5 hours ago Russian attackers took Snake Island, killing all defenders. There was this exchange between the Ukrainians and Russians:
“This is a Russian warship. I propose you lay down arms and surrender to avoid bloodshed and unnecessary victims. Otherwise, you’ll be bombed,”
-“Russian warship, go fuck yourself”

Just now the Ukrainian army recaptured Snake Island according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Could the US / other NATO nations be supporting Ukraine with thing like drone strikes? That seems like the only plausible explanation for them (supposedly) destroying so many tanks/planes... Also yeah is most likely propoganda but it makes me wonder if something could be possible? Like a fuckton of nato controlled drones?

Just asking anyone more knowledgeable

India, outside of its nukes, is inconsequential. It's one of the most insular economies in the world and is dirt-poor to boot.

Its existence in the quad is more of a token gesture by Japan because there aren't very many large Asian democracies to pick from. No one seriously expects the country that wrote the book on Third Worldist politics to pick a side in anything except to dunk on Pakistan.

It's possible that the rifle handouts and "no age limit" recruiting announcements by Ukraine are another kind of misdirection, aimed at making Russia underestimate their troop strength. The thinking may be that if the Russians think their forces are depleted to the extent that they have to hand out rifles to civilians, they will get careless and be caught off-guard by the amount of Ukrainian forces remaining.
It's more likely intended to dissuade the Russians from trying to attempt to take the major cities and attempt a full occupation and regime change. Urban warfare is going to be bad enough without having to deal with the idea of armed civilians everywhere. Even if they're ineffective, it would drastically change the dynamic of the war to one in which Russian soldiers will have to actively look out for civilian combatants, whereas up until now they've been very friendly with them. It could easily poison the well and make any future occupation and reorganisation of a conquered Ukraine a lot harder, if not completely infeasible.

It's the only real move Zelensky has to play: threaten total war to the last man to get Putin to back down a bit and start negotiations. Ukraine has lost already, the only question is to what degree: as a conquered state with an installed puppet government, or a country with its pre-war rulers intact, forced into ceding some territory and swearing neutrality? Formenting civilian resistance to troublesome levels might be a way to get the latter instead of the former.

Advanced cope. It's been a day and a half. Universally accepted military cakewalks like the German invasion of Polan or the US in Iraq took 3+ weeks and the Russians have used neither the carpetbombing nor any of their modern tech they have in Syria while only committing a third of the forces they've got positioned at the borders thus far.
Yeah I got the impression that if it was really from someone in US Intelligence, then it's the typical misinformation wishcasting you'd expect.

Let me guess, your uncle who works at Nintendo?

It will be brutal:

I didn't make the twitter thread, I came across it last night and it seemed off to me.
