Germany is open to cut Russia from SWIFT.

Will this be of any help to defeat the Russians?
Itll be a huge nuisance, that's about it. You'll need to physically ship pallets of money to make business deals with Russia or have the banks independently set up agreements.

If there was still any doubt about the Russian-Chinese alliance:

This is very simple, baby Manlet child. As a good world leader, Biden decided to share information with a fellow nation. How is it his fault that they decided to use it against him? Let me guess, you think TRUMP would have done better? (I am allowed to whataboutism about what Donald Trump would do in this situation but if you bring up Hillary you are dishonest)

1/ sharing from a friend with a background in us intelligence My take so far: Russia is fighting a 1970s era war against a small but early 2000s era enemy.

2/ What I mean by 1970s: limited precision strikes, followed immediately multiple lines of armored advance (3 as Soviet doctrine commands, plus a 4th from the separatists who appear to be fighting alone).

3/ Offensive. Advances conducted by easiest routes possible - roadways - with avoidance of set battles en lieu of encirclements. Air assaults via helo/paratroopers to seize key C2 sites. Air Dominance if possible but not planned. This is Deep Strike War.

....

15/ What can we learn from this? Russia is utterly incapable. Ukrainians resisted hybrid warfare and forced conventional conflict. Their doctrine does not fit modern warfare’s objectives. This is likely due to their limited material capabilities.

....

18/ End game: Russia wins in a week or so but continues to face an insurgency, more virulent the longer the active phase of war goes on. Ukraine is forced to sign a Versailles style dearmament treaty and is forced into a Belarus-style vassal state situation.

...

20/ Long term: The fucking French conventional army would mop the floor with Russia by the look of this. The Russians cannot fight a modern war and their bullying capability is limited, and would be ineffective against NATO’s air power alone -

...

22/ This is a death-spasm, the fever breaking, and Russia’s decline is pretty much locked looking at this, simply from seeing how they fight. A US-Russian war would look like Iraq ‘91, both by overwhelming asymmetry and by multilateral coalition backing.

^you can read the rest by clicking on the links, it's from a twitter account that looks to be dissident right-wing ish but the fact that it starts by "sharing from a friend with a background in us intelligence" is raising my eyebrows to the ceiling, wonder what the rest of you think?

edit: I didn't make the thread, I came across it last night. My guess is that it's either a LARP from someone who doesn't actually know someone in US Intelligence, or it's someone in US Intelligence sharing pro-Ukraine wishcasting talking points with a twitter friend to beta-test reactions (or the twitter account itself could be ran by a glowie)

Does anyone have the video of the russian paratrooper recording himself bantering with a buddy while they were parachuting in Ukraine?

Cutting Russia from SWIFT would cause Russia to focus elsewhere non-EU affiliated. It'll hurt in the immediate and near future, but is not going to happen.

The EU gets about 25% of its oil from Russia. Germany wanted Nordstream2 because green energy they produced cannot power their country in full. All that oil will be redirected into China, who wants it and doesn't care about the EU's imposed sanctions.

The biggest losers in this in order are the Ukrainain people, the EU and the US.

Map isn't accurate. Russian forces are much closer to Chernigov and have most likely surrounded it, and they haven't taken Kherson yet nor advanced beyond it, they're only just making a bridgehead at Antonivka.
It's probably a few hours old.

I just kind of blew my mind. The war is 36 months weeks days hours old. Impossible to get any accurate maps just because of how little accurate info russians give and how much propaganda are ukrainians pushing.

Prushiki nahoy, davai? Globnost voyrody vinitchki temry zumat, ist zumat razbol ucraina. Russiya vernotz pereyik tenechiya. Davai, davai.

Convert this to Cyrillic and read it using only your lips and front teeth, and you'll be speaking Slavic.
Laa ilaaha illal Lahoo Mohammadur Rasool Ullah

Read it slowly using your tongue, and now you have renounced your previous religion

News Update:
Russia was excluded from the Council of Europe and the British Foreign Office summoned the Belarusian Ambassador to London for Belarusian help to Russia in aggression against Ukraine.

Hopefully there'll be a ceasefire once Kiev has fallen. The attacks on Moldovan ships and Estonian (NATO) weapons being shipped into Ukraine are details that risk blowing this conflict up even further.
They probably want to force the government hand into a full surrender and sign a treaty on new borders.

Ukrainians have started drafting anyone willing to their "Territorial Defence Forces". No age limits.

Ukraine has gone full Volkssturm!

It's possible that the rifle handouts and "no age limit" recruiting announcements by Ukraine are another kind of misdirection, aimed at making Russia underestimate their troop strength. The thinking may be that if the Russians think their forces are depleted to the extent that they have to hand out rifles to civilians, they will get careless and be caught off-guard by the amount of Ukrainian forces remaining.

I need a farmer to hold my hand rn the psyops have really got to me bros.

What is the likelihood of this turning nuclear? I didn't give a fuck about covid but this is really getting to me for some reason.
Almost 0. Everyone is wagging their fingers and reeeing. Nobody has even mentioned the possiblity of putting boots on the ground.
