Nvidia isn’t just used for consumer chips to play Call of Duty. They are actually a critical supplier for industry and military applications. GPUs are used to provide concurrency to solve very hard math problems faster than a CPU. Their IP is also cutting-edge and applicable for use-cases beyond gaming and graphics.
Even though I disagree with your margarine-hating ways, you're 100% correct my man. TSMC, whether we like it or not, is responsible for modern life these days (source -- almost accepted a job at TSMC).

It’s probably because many have been insulated from the possibility of any major conflict happening. They treat it like the BLM protests where they think hashtags and donations will solve things. That, and TikTok videos. I guess there’s no time like the present to experience things like this.
Zoomers may end up becoming a generation like the one that fought in ww1, they where all cheering for war and then the machine guns rattled and artillery shells screamed.

This is the most pitiable kind of tribalist thinking. "Well, he might be a dictator who launches wars of aggression, murders his critics and builds giant mansions for his cronies while regular people live in poverty, but at least he doesn't like transgenders!"
Letting mentally ill people have a hand in running your government is more than 'being openminded'.

It's an undeniable sign that your nation has fallen and is on borrowed time.

Also, our government has launched wars of aggression, murdered critics and propped up oligarchs that horde money and build their own mansions while many live in poverty as well. They just aren't as honest about it.

Odd target.
Not like one could obtain a fucking graphics card for the past several years anyways.
Right now Russia only has the ability to manufacture I believe 25nm chipsets. With the sanctions now forbidding them from purchasing chips on the market smaller than that, if they have stolen the designs to manufacture the 7or 5nm chipsets for 5g and other systems, that makes the sanctions completely irrelevant.

The biggest source of those chips? Taiwan

The biggest source of the Neon Gas and Titanium Sponge to make those chips?

Ukraine and Russia

It won't be nukes. I can pretty much guarantee the first salvo will be cyber warfare.

I would say that foreign states have already breached many of our civilian infrastructure networks with nuclear plants being the rare exception.

The first salvo will probably be traffic signals for an entire region. A commute of an hour will the three with the traffic lights out. That would be absolute gridlock in the cities. Area that rely on mass transit will have those systems targeted so no more subways and inter-city/region rail. Air traffic control would be spared.

In this same opening salvo will be a hit on US SNAP / EBT (Food Stamps). I would go with a 75 / 25 split where some receipts get thousands of dollars to spend and others get nothing. Such, you get people grabbing cart loads of food while other get nothing, which is a really good way to start riots.

Keep on this track, I would hit food distribution warehouse computer system so they couldn't know what to bring where without a painstaking process.

Perhaps, cell phone transmitter could be targeted. The telecom system may have some security but what about all those back up generator. Maybe some run without control systems causing a fire.

This is just me typing this up on the shitter. Imagine what could happen with dedicated people. Your mother life would be so inconvenienced she would go crazy on the first salvo.
Russia's unlikely to bring out any big cyberattacks against the US unless things descend into actual war. They've been very careful to carry out only small attacks using bands of patriotic hackers that they could throw under the bus if things get out of hand. The main reason is that no one is really sure what the cyberwarfare capabilities of the NSA are but considering the damage that stuxnet did to Iran, no one really wants to risk giving the NSA license to fuck their shit up.

If Russia was trying to piss off as many people as possible out of sheer incompetence, this is the way to do it. It's what helped drag the US into WWI after the Lustiania got torpedoed and the idiot German in charge of that U-Boat ordered the attack scrubbed from the records.

At least the Germans put a notice in advertisements for people to NOT sail on the damn boat AND ended up being right in that the Lusitania was carrying war supplies when it was claimed not to be. Here you've got the Russians firing missiles indiscriminately and without warning.

You said it yourself. The US was dragged into war, all right, but not by Germans. It was dragged by the Washington establishment. Using civilians as human shields for arms shipments would be a war crime if anyone else did it.

americans liking cartoons is a pretty weak ass comeback after one of your top generals got btfo. Pretty shitty cope, specially from people who worship a rock.
Fair enough, he's still right at least insofar as your typical American is concerned.

A dictatorship with no faggot parades or tranny children.
More importantly to your average person, 'the trains are kept running on time'. If this affair does kill the Russian economy then you might see more than just hippies and attention whores protesting against the Kremlin. Granted one wonders how this whole situation will affect the world economy in general.

A country's claim to being "its own country" is only valid as long as they can keep it. That's why relying on bigger nations oceans away to defend your interests is fucking retarded, as we're seeing Ukraine unfortunately have to realize in real time.
When you're a small country this is easier said than done, although giving up your nukes certainly doesn't help. The strategy of courting a big empire isn't a bad idea per se, but trusting the U.S. to actually defend one of its puppet governments is laughable, the U.S. always has been a terrible ally and you'd have to be a rube to think they'll protect you at their inconvenience. Realistically, they probably should have conceded more to Putin since they're the world power at their doorstep.

Also as a general response to common sentiments, I've seen in this thread and elsewhere. No dummy, Putin isn't going to launch ICBMs at the U.S. any time soon; Sending your sons to die on Ukraine's behalf would be stupidity, not bravery. Any talks of being enslaved by Putler you see by other Americans is pure NeoCon/Lib drivel. Stop trying to moralize the Americans in this thread who are rooting for the Ruskies or vice versa; To us, this is a cockfight in a far away land that most of us couldn't place on a map. For you Europeans, the situation is somewhat different, (especially for an Eastern European country like Estonia or Finland), good luck with that. Also if you're Ukrainian you absolutely should fight for your Sovereignty; Even if defeat seems certain it is better to die as a warrior rather than a slave (and if you didn't want to you probably should have left before all this happened, eh?).

People have been in that mindset from a long time. Was recently going through my grandmother's shit and she had a pamphlet saved from some "charity" event she went to in the midst of the Vietnam War. Whole buncha posturing from people who would never see the battlefield.

If the chip isn't made by Intel or Samsung, it's probably made by TSMC. And even Intel has outsourced some stuff to TSMC.

I've criticized Putin's war of aggression and general thuggishness; anything else is probably a product of your imagination.
Without understanding the context behind it. Try thinking beyond what happened in the last 15 minutes.

With this kind of attitude you'd consider the Soviet push to Berlin in '45 as a "war of aggression and general thuggishness."

The poverty in places like Russia and Ukraine are part of the reason the mail order brides are a thing. It’s a way for them to get out of those countries and have a slightly better life.
I think if you shut down all camwhoring half of russia and Venezuela would starve together. Probably why the female suicide rate is kept so low comparatively

That first chart is sourced from a literal CIA front.

And that second chart is stupid, minimum wage is a lot less relevant than something like median wage

Which is a lot more in line with other eastern and central european countries.

I'm not even a fan of Russia, but c'mon nigga.
even in that shill article they make a point of Rusia being "good for outsourcing" because the salaries are dogshit, the same way pooinloo-land is also good for outsourcing, is not because it is a paradise for workers . They also should update it in real time as the ruble is freefaling

Weapons and equipment don't mean a thing when moral is in the trash and western moral does not exist atm. A lot of people hate their governments and their governments hate them. The way I see, right now it's who wants the Win more and China and Russia want it way way more.

Take Germany as an example they've been actively putting their national sovereignty at risk against Russian by wrecking their energy production, you can't win a fight with judas like that in offices who sell out their defense for shekels. Thank fuck for eastern Europe, they actually want to go for a win.

How so? Do you think they've just got chip fab facilities for 7nm or 5nm constructed and sitting idle for the off chance that they might need to produce the chips internally? Do you know how much technological know-how, not to mention precision in construction of the building alone, that it takes to spin up such an operation?
