Right now Russia only has the ability to manufacture I believe 25nm chipsets. With the sanctions now forbidding them from purchasing chips on the market smaller than that, if they have stolen the designs to manufacture the 7or 5nm chipsets for 5g and other systems, that makes the sanctions completely irrelevant.

The biggest source of those chips? Taiwan

The biggest source of the Neon Gas and Titanium Sponge to make those chips?

Ukraine and Russia
Not possible. You could literally send them the design files for these chips and they wouldn’t be able to make them. Semiconductor manufacturing at this size requires such precision and skill it would take ten years for someone like America to get to the same production scale as Taiwan. Russia? A pipe-dream. The objective is more likely disruption, fear, a show of force, or something like that.

I've criticized Putin's war of aggression and general thuggishness; anything else is probably a product of your imagination.
You're on a site where the picture of any woman who is objectively good looking will soon be met with a cascade of "lol she's so ugly I fuck better women after shitting my pants lol" comments. Did you actually NOT expect some edgy "AKSSSHHUALLY Vlad is the good guy here" takes?

Faggots gonna fag.

The more I follow the feedback on this the more I’m convinced Zoomers are more retarded than Boomers.

At least Boomers have an idea of what an actual war is and how to resolve it. Millennials at least have a decent sense of good and evil from the terrorism stuff in the 90s/2000s. Zoomers think this conflict can be ended by posting memes about ‘Standing for Ukraine’, cutting off media from Russia that Russians don’t even care about, using sanctions and other bullshit socialist tactics, and just generally fighting an ‘information war’.

Motherfuckers, the fighting has already started. Nobody gives a fuck if a bunch of bluechecks make pop culture references and whine at ‘advertisers’ and politicians or whatever the fuck they usually do. If you want to stand for Ukraine, you’re going to have to pick up a gun.

I’m so irrationally MATI right now but I fucking hate these people.

War breaks out in Ukraine, Gravel Institute: "Let in all the arabs and niggers!"

See what I mean? Pontificating.
Everyone's trying to do "fuck you got mine" shit while also decrying it is a time for unity WITHIN THE SAME FUCKING SENTENCE.
Doesn't that sound a bit exploitative?

I get that Ukrainians are getting fucked, again, and the rational action would be to defend. But war isn't rational, and neither are any of the players anymore.
Right now, I'm trying to figure out what's going to happen next, and all of it leads to "China does something." And god fucking damn is that prospect scary as shit.

My roommate believes that this shouldn't have happened because advancements in technology have enlightened us while making us a more evolved species who have moved on from wars.

Maybe being online 24/7 does make you retarded.
That's the big takeaway I haven't been able to articulate.

Twitter, Reddit, Facebook... everyone's take has been a vague kind of "War? But it's 2022, people don't do that anymore."

The hugboxes literally kept them in some sort of faux state of innocence that the real world is just happily ripping apart.

Wonder if Pridnostrovia/ Transistria might join the Russian side? They have sympathies and it'd put pressure on Odessa/ Putin could just be trying to help the poor Transistrians being oppressed by Ukrainian bullies!

The cruelty of reality is an eye-opener for some.

Take Germany as an example they've been actively putting their national sovereignty at risk against Russian by wrecking their energy production, you can't win a fight with judas like that in offices who sell out their defense for shekels. Thank fuck for eastern Europe, they actually want to go for a win.
what sovereignty lol
germany political class is best described as governors in the service of foreign powers. as far as they are concerned, germany has no interest beyond serving these foreign powers, that's all
