The fight to decide Ukraine is currently happening now in Kiev. It looks like it is almost over.
It probably hasn't even started yet. So far we have just heard small arms fire, which could be Ukrainian Volkssturm-men on edge shooting at each other.

This also happened previously during the day. This is when that one APC went out of control.

Warning: There are occasional random unrelated loud noises in the background.

Also as invasions by Russians go, they've been acting with a fairly uncharacteristic level of restraint and avoiding excessive civilian casualties, almost as if they're a civilized country. They aren't, but the mask is still on a bit. It becomes a lot more difficult to cut deals where they get access to ports and this NATO shit goes away if the people who have to sign on it haven't had friends, family and loved ones killed by Russians.

Maybe I'm :optimistic: but imo this shit is not going to Defcon 1 or anything like it.
I agree it's not going to get worse, but I don't think painting Russia or Ukraine both as Slav savages is accurate. Despite Russia's track record in the 90s it seems like they've worked to improve it, and there seems to be some level of respect for the people of both countries between each other, IMO anyway.

Anyone point me to where it was used before?
Russians love thermobaric weapons, they classify them as flamethrowers and use them all the time. Thermobaric warheads exist for shoulder launched rocket launchers, vehicle based launchers as well as an array of bombs including the largest conventional bomb, the Russian FOAB

Never heard of this weapon before?

Apparently Russia is prepared to use.
They have been using. It's an anti-personnel weapon, meant to fuck up the human body like the FUS RO DAH air cannon on steroids. Russia is the only country to make extensive use of them, but pretty much everyone has them.
