It's very well-coordinated and Russia's obviously taking some major precautions when it comes to damaging infrastructure or civilian targets, despite Ukraine, whether you support them or not, goading Russian troops into attacking their own citizens to use as "evidence" of war crimes. It's clear Putin's not just trying to fuck up the country, and there are people in Ukraine starting to fight the government, give gifts to Russian troops, etc., so it seems he's going at this less as a conquest and more as a reunification of Ukraine's pro-Russian elements. It's still a military conquest, but he seems to be trying to do it in the best-looking way possible propagandawise, and so far hasn't risen to any of Ukraine's outrage bait.
It's worth noting that basically all the Ukrainians giving gifts to the Russians/showing favor to them, are in the more eastern parts of Ukraine. Civilian resistance will be much more noticeable in once they start to advance into central, and especially western Ukraine if the government doesn't surrender by then.

Despite being Neutral Pro-Russia, I do feel for the Ukrainians. They’re army has been so easily decimated. They were duped by the West into thinking they would be supported and now they stand alone. They see their sovereignty being violated in real-time by a country much bigger than them. This isn’t propaganda we’re seeing. This is people grasping for hope.

Ukrainian General Staff gave numbers for destroyed or captured Russian equipment.

14 airplanes, 8 helicopters, 102 tanks, 536 armoured combat vehicles, 15 mortars, 1 BUK air defence system.

3500 total losses, including wounded, would be in line with those numbers. Of course, they have to be taken with a whole heap of salt.

They don't have to be taken with a grain of salt, they can by simply discarded

Motivation will hit people differently during hard times. During hard times people stand up and do what they have to do. The people who don't want to fight are in subway tunnels and bunkers, the rest are either fighting or waiting in their homes hoping a missile strike doesn't hit them. Again in these kinds of situations your options are eat dry shit or eat wet shit. Some people prefer the dry some people prefer the wet but no matter what you are eating shit. It is a war and it's not stopping anytime soon.
We're not a talking about they same relentless ruthless Russia that raped and pillaged over 70 years ago
They put the offer for treaty-talks on the table. And any Uke with a cellphone and data-plan can and will hear about this
If they find out that Selensky had plenty of offers to capitulate and he didn't take'em, morale will crumble quickly

No this is the Russia that raped and pillage 20 years ago.

Russia's really holding back considering these people are out in the open in lines throwing cocktails at IFVs that could mow them down like grass. I mean, serious balls on the Ukrainian civilians here, but again it's pretty loathsome that the Ukrainian president's encouraging and commanding this to happen. Eventually those Russian troops will stop pulling punches and that's exactly what the president wants, giving him bogus evidence to use that Russia's murdering civvies en masse.

Japanese-owned cargo ship hit by missile off Ukraine

MATSUYAMA, EHIME PREF. – A cargo ship owned by a Japanese firm was hit by a missile off the coast of Ukraine in the Black Sea on Friday, injuring one crew member, the marine transportation firm in western Japan said Saturday.

The Panamanian-registered cargo ship Namura Queen was damaged and one of the 20 Filipino crew sustained a nonlife threatening injury to his shoulder, according to the firm based in Imabari, Ehime Prefecture.

The ship can operate under its own steam and has headed to Turkey, where the damage to the vessel will be assessed, the firm said.

Ukraine authorities said the missile was fired by Russian forces, following their military invasion of Ukraine earlier this week.

A total of three nonmilitary vessels have now been hit since the start of the invasion.

I don't think Putin has the balls to call nato's nuclear bluff either. Ukraine isn't a NATO country and thus wouldn't be extended the protections of NATO so it isn't. No world power to this point has violated the territorial integrity of a NATO country and this is for a reason, multiple of them have nuclear weapons.

They could sue for peace and cut their losses. They're still fighting thinking that the thoughts and prayers will save them.
