For anyone who may find this information useful. Russian hardware are said to use a traditional camo pattern while Ukrainian hardware is apparently using a pixelated pattern. Russian vehicles additionally may just be dark green and use painted letters, such as Z, O, V, etc.

Notice how the lead vehicle the passenger door is open so if they get knocked out first they can immediately jump out and return fire, I wouldn't doubt if he has tracers to direct the rest of the convoy to the contacts.

Now that I have been following the thread for a bit and been seeing the updates being shared. I am getting the same fog of war vibes that I ended up getting during the entire Israel and Palestine spat last spring. Essentially a bunch of conjecture and unreliable information that if anything is composed of nothing but half truths. There is no way that the Russians have had that heavy of casualties, especially considering that from what I understand they have been methodically picking of Ukranian air defences over the last 48 hours. Along with their targeting of any semblance of Ukraine having any form of air ordinance. Not to say the Russians haven't experienced losses, but from what I have seen in the streams, most of the casualties are related to the air strikes, and systematic ambushes of certain troop carriers.

I tend to believe that the other place they did suffer significant losses was the operation right at the start of the war to capture the airport. Something seemed to really go wrong there.

Maybe for identification of different fronts and units? Not really sure to be honest but it is something they are using which we can confirm from all the footage we have been seeing of Russian vehicle movements in the invasion.

Ukraine doesn't have the shit left to be trying to strike ground targets that aren't particularly close to the line(s), they need everything they still have right up at the front(s) to try to slow or stop actual Russian attacks

Also interesting that the Russian's dont seem to be very concerned by the threat of Ukranian partisans, confirms my feeling that most people will just want to grill and the idea that the russians would see serious civilian resistance was a bit optimistic, at least east of Kiev
