Didn't they already investigate Trump for 4 years, and despite the fraud dossier they used to start the investigation, and the illegal wiretaps, they still found nothing? They had practically the entire Western world working together to try to tie him to Russia and they still couldn't find anything. Why are they still posting clues that are supposed 'gotchas'?

The programming runs far too deep. If they even once accept that Orange Man wasn't nearly as bad as they said he was, they might actually have to reassess their opinions on his entire presidency. The last thing any of these fucks ever want to admit is that they were wrong, so they double and triple and quadruple down on the same old tired narratives to keep reassuring themselves that they're the Good Guys on the Right Side of History.
Simple logic would dictate that if the myriad of investigations over several years failed to produce anything concrete that showed that Trump was mega ultra turbo Hitler, then there was probably never anything there to begin with. But it's safer for their feelings to assume the much less likely option that the evidence is there, they just need to keep digging. And then they have the gall to mock Qtards despite both groups being unhinged crazies, with the only difference being Qtards aren't in the Deep State abusing their power to harass their political enemies.

Look at how much mileage the Obama administration and Democrats in general got out of saying, "But Bush." The administration would take flak for underperformance on some metric and they'd say, "But Bush did this, But Bush did that." It had its limits, eventually people expect the political party in power to produce results, not excuses, and the midterm was a drubbing, yet the But Bush thing was a great tactic for the democrats for 8 years.
They're already saying Russia wouldn't have its military in Ukraine if it weren't for Trump weakening America, inflation, COVID, etc. Anything they can blame Donald Trump for, they're doing it with gusto.
The Trump Derangement Syndrome is so severe with so many people. I believe we're going to be 20+ years out from the split congress for half the term, investigated out the wazoo, spied on, double-impeached and thoroughly sabotaged Trump administration with Donald Trump long dead and tens of millions of people will be blaming it on how Donald Trump "weakened America"

Even assuming that did happen (note : I actually don't find this implausible given a story I read about how either some US Ambassador or State official received a "gift" from the Soviets that was bugged), how could that have been useful to the Russians?
