It’s no longer that high; it’s below 60% now and varies a lot by region (rates are very low on the west coast I believe). Still stupidly high though.

Circumcision is a good example of how the US healthcare system is terrible at weeding out unnecessary treatments, though, which is relevant to the subject of this thread. Like, in the UK where your healthcare is paid for by the government, that same government had an incentive to say “wait, is circumcision actually doing anything positive? Why are we paying for this?” and then stopped funding it (unless it's done for medical reasons like phimosis). But the US just sucks at doing shit like that. Technically insurance companies should rein in bogus treatments that don't do much except make people money, but they don’t. I guess for whatever reason they don’t have the same power behind them as a country's government saying “hold on a second, why exactly are we giving doctors money for this?”

And it's the same with the troon stuff. Which is why the countries we are seeing start to pull back on fast-tracked unproven treatments are the ones with government-funded healthcare, like the UK and Nordic countries. My prediction is we will continue to see the more sensible European countries gradually shut this shit down, while it will continue to rampage through the American system for a few decades, and any pushback that does happen will come from outside of healthcare.

As a note, most health insurance plans will not cover circumcision any more. You get paperwork at the hospital letting you know this fact and telling you to prepare to pay out of pocket for it.

I'm so fascinated at what will happen with her husband- we knew he was a degenerate before he met her. He's openly a feeder, and she is getting bigger and bigger, but it's also clear that he hates her and that they sleep in separate rooms.

I'm skeptical that he was forcibly trooned, because she's such a narc it seems unusual that she'd voluntarily allow him the attention and social cachet of becoming a tranny. I think she approved of his trooning only so far as it makes her part of the alphabet club.

That story. I have read better fanfic. I have actually read better completely degenerate porn-with-a-(thin)-plot fanfic. I have read absolute shit fanfic that was still more enjoyable.

The sentences are choppy and have no flow, no rhythm, and it's just boring. I'm amazed this was published by Tor. This was obviously a diversity publication.

Thing is, as businesses with a bottom line, insurance companies are ruthless in booting out procedures that don't have therapeutic value. That was the main source of criticism of them historically, in that they were too ruthless and rejected novel but experimental treatments because the efficiency wasn't yet proven. But various government regimes fucked with the system by putting their thumb on the scale by declaring tranny nonsense "medically necessary".

I still admire countries like Sweden, but not for the same reasons as the woke left does.

I admire them because they seem utilitarian and completely willing to do a 180 on their stances when the consequences are bad enough for them to reexamine their positions.

Two areas recently that come to mind are immigration and troons. Their earlier experience with immigration was like, a bunch of Chileans fleeing Pinochet, they integrated pretty well and everything was hunky dory. They thought the same thing would happen with the Syrians and shit, but once the murder, rape and other crime statistics started rising in direct relation to this immigration policy, what did they do? They changed the immigration policy and got more restrictive.

Same thing with trannies, they were one of the first countries to try medical transitioning as a treatment for dysphoria, but what they did was kept long term studies going so they had data to inform future decisions. After about a generation, the data came back and they were like, "Okay, we're done with that, no more trooning out children."

Imagine any of these woke leftists making a decision, seeing the consequences through empirical data, and reversing course because they are now more informed. That's impossible for them because this has become a religious cult in the anglosphere. It doesn't matter what the data is, they're on the right side of history!
