If they don't wanna be part of a certain country, it's their right to self-determination. The "host" country is not entitled to their loyalty. Calling separatists "traitors" is the behavior of an abusive BPD partner.

Interesting news on the front of Ukrainian lies: If anyone remembers the recent incident on Zmiinyi Island where a Ukrainian soldier told a Russian warship to fuck off.

Anyway, the story went that right after this exchange, Russia opened fire on the island, killing all Ukrainian soldiers. This has left these brave warriors who fought to the bitter end with the status of martyrs thanks to heavy focus on this event by Zelenskyy:

On our Zmiinyi Island, defending it to the last, all the border guards died heroically.
But they did not give up. All of them will be posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine.

Only problem is...they didn't die heroically. They just surrendered.

I suspect throughout the course of the last decade or so there have been tensions between Ukrainians and ethnic Russians (because why wouldn't there be?) and those tensions have probably escalated to sporadic outright violence between the two groups in certain instances and this has been portrayed by the Russians as systematic ethnic cleansing/genocide (because why wouldn't they?). So, highly exaggerated and propagandized extrapolations of sporadic incidents of ethnic tensions reaching violent or perhaps lethal levels.

Generally a good video showcasing Russian warcrimes, be they accidental or not. But keep in mind that a few of them are due to Ukrainian fire, such as the MIG-29 that shot rockets at civilian houses in Kyiv.
