If that’s the case Russia has had 2 decades of watching other countries fight in asymmetrical urban wars plus their own experiences in Chechnya and Syria to know that’s a retarded way of performing reconnaissance.
The Russian tactic for recon has always been "load up your guys on top of the BMP and drive at the enemy to see at what point they blow you up".

Armoured recon has always been the absolute worst place to be in a modern military. Your job is often literally to be the guys who get blown up just to see where the enemy positions are.

Nope, Brandon just axed the China project because it might result in discrimination against Chinese-Americans. As if letting Chinese students take spots in grad school that could be going to white kids or Asians who grew up in the US is a good idea.
I think the actual problem these days is taking spots from other Asians who grew up in Asia. In particular Indians these days.
American higher education gave up on Americans a long time ago. International students is where all the $$$$ is at for colleges and universities.

And the American Left cheers it on that civilians are getting handed guns in defense of their home. Why are those people against 2A again pls? I am confused
They are also cheering on a government that came from an insurrection. The answer is of course, "because the idiot on TV told them to."

This is the first I heard about a polio outbreak in Ukraine, and the first case was diagnosed in October! Great, all they need right now is this.

In the late 1990s, Ukraine actually had the highest known per-capita rate of new AIDS cases, mainly because of drug addiction.

I'm also hearing that the Russian soldiers have insufficient basic supplies like food, water, and gasoline. If THAT doesn't make them back down, IDK what will.

To be frank, even the Ukrainian officials have released photos of arrested looters.

The notes don't really have the same impact until you start hanging them from the trees and lampposts

If it's not like Generation Kill, that is, the candid, uncensored, un-curated stories of the boots on the ground, it's automatically trash.

War is not some noble undertaking. It's ugly and retarded, to a cartoonish degree.
to quote that very same series: "There's levels of retardation to this whole thing you never even dreamed about! You should quote me on that!"

I was asleep and playing Elden Ring and shit so what happened in Ukraine today?
8 more mysterious superheroes "of Kiev" emerged. Ukraine has further improved it's (frankly already impressive) KD ratio to 1/25. The Battle of Twittergrad has been won by People of Decency from around the world.
Also Ukraine is forced to arm crying grandmas with automatic rifles.

Its not just the modern military. Being sent out on recon has always been about being sent out to be killed.

Palmer is an idiot. "Putin wouldn't have had to do this if his puppet was still in office." WTF does this even mean? Is he still conceding Trump would have stopped the war? If Trump was his puppet, why didn't he invade during Trump's term? I checked the Twitter comments, of course no one calls him out on this dumbassed cope.

If Russia makes a competing system to SWIFT then the entire (current) global financial system just got in trouble
Yes, I'm sure the world's financial institutions will start adopting and using a SWIFT alternative control by an authoritarian oligarchy, third world shithole with 0 rule of law that somehow manages to get sanctioned every 2 years by all relevant world economies, minus China.
There's nothing banks and financial institutions love more than the uncertainty of the next day and the possibility of getting your transactions funneled by the Kremlin just because they feel like it, with you not being able to do anything about it.
It's over Globalfinancialbros the Russians won this time, I kneel to the glorious God Tsar shirtless Putin clone number 521.

Wow

Finally, reddit will get the Ukraine avengers. The “of Kiev” gang, assemble!
