I need a farmer to hold my hand rn the psyops have really got to me bros.
What is the likelihood of this turning nuclear? I didn't give a fuck about covid but this is really getting to me for some reason.
Putin would have to be fucking insane to do this. No amount of ass kissers and yes men in high profile jobs is enough to make all of them agree to getting nuked to death, and Putin himself probably knows he isn't immune to radiation and nuclear fire!
Now, there is a chance of this escalating harder with them sending platoon after platoon of armored vehicles, but not much beyond this. He already fucked himself over hard with this war, his goal is to promote a regime change in Ukraine and he can't do that by having his puppet ruler govern from a bunch of fucking ruins, and they already loathe him. If he wants to take over, he can't flatten everything in his sight either. So far he's been only losing in this war and dug himself into a colossal pile of horseshit, expertly fucking done, Putin!
What's with this site's pro-ukrainian bias?
There are people of all viewpoints here, but this invasion is colossaly unpopular except in hardliner circles. I, myself, am in favor of Democracy and although not a pacifist I am in favor of peaceful solutions. Fighting back against aggression is perfectly acceptable, and even if you agree with Putin on the matter of separatist regions, he clearly went too far in promoting a regime change by directly invading, with multiple war crimes being witnessed. Philosophically speaking, there is no way I can support Putin on this matter!
When you consider that Russia has ten million bajillion troops surrounding Ukraine and ready to cross the border at any moment, four thousand dead isn't that big a deal.
Are they any good if they haven't been able to cross the border so far? The Ukrainians are pushing back hard, and there is evidence of Russia sending beaten to shit armored vehicles to the front so far. Even if you believe they are sending cannon fodder first (which to me doesn't make much sense, as they were aiming for a blitz attack and you can't pull this off by ruining the surprise element with the worst imaginable troops), they are clearly having issues in their logistics and their plans evidently went to shit. Air dominance helps, but they need boots on the ground to secure any gains, and they are being held back so far. As far as it goes right now, nobody is going to take Putin seriously after this clusterfuck is done, fucker had been planning this invasion for months and couldn't go further than this in combat readyness!
