many people are saying this is gonna be worse than the 90’s for Russia. can anyone with a firm understanding of economics in this thread elaborate? economics isn’t really my strong suit but twitter is ofc hyping it up like it’s going to be really really bad.

You say that, but.
That stream is now blocked. ✅
Those comrades competed their mission. I think its understood in slavland that if you get issued a tank or truck has CCCP still visible under a thin layer of paint that your just their for cannon fodder. Like being the "red shirt" guy on the Away Team in Star Trek.

Idk if this is the case with hohol Nazi's but with Russian ones this is how it works

Germans were the master race.

Russians beat them.

Therefore, Russians are the master race.
Hard times, strong Slavs, repeat. Whatever you think of Russkie political shit you gotta have at least a grudging respect for them on that front.

But then we'll be in Russia. Just thinking about it makes me want to put on my telnyashka, drink some vodka, and shoot a Kalashnikov randomly. Maybe I'll hit a vodka monkey or two.

Seriously though, if that happens all the Amerikansky posters, including myself, will all be jailed for laughing at that Ho-Ho-Holocaust picture.

And let's be honest, it would be all worth it.
How easy it is to win hearts and minds.

I love that everyone is autistically clinging to this idea of "neo Nazis," calling them stupid, while apparently being unable to point out any other single unit in the Ukrainian military that has any renown.

Obviously they understand the potency of their coopting some Germanic/Scandinavian symbolism as the strongest statement of their rejection of Russian culture and influence as well as the history of the Galician division.

It's amazing that people will simultaneously spaz about horrible neo Nazis and Jews in the same sentence. It's peak unwitting irony while obviously the Jews in this equation grasp the motivation and significance behind the "Nazi" symbolism better than the Westerners who act offended on the Jews' behalf.

tl;dr seethe faggot no one cares if you object to "Nazi" symbolism
Azov is the most prominent but there are others and there are tons of streets and places named after Stephan Bandera, a "nationalist" who collaborated with Germany AFTER they put him and his friends in a concentration camp for two years.

I thought this photo really encapsulates social media.

Which is all fine and dandy... until they lose the airport.

There is a reason that every stable supply line seeks to create a continuous land route or, at worst, a good naval route. They are reliable and by far the easiest to ship in -bulk-.

This will become more important in only a few more days. Modern cities do not have a lot of food storage at all. About a week is all it takes for most modern cities to run dry of food. And once they do, things are going to get -bad-. The only way to offset it is fresh shipments in through those same ground supply lines.

That's hilarious since an economy is only good when people trust it, going "Okay, we're going to open up much later than scheduled for unspecified reasons that totally don't include the massive sanctions we have placed on us." is a good way to decrease trust in the economy.

Well that's just like your opinion bro

And it's wrong

Reality is the supply lines through Poland and Romania and the air have been doing a very good job resupplying all those modern shoulder-fired rockets that Ukraine has been using and didn't find under a beet field

If Western weapons hadn't been coming and weren't still coming in bigly the war would have been over 48 hours ago. Ukraine has been holding on by going full madlad shooting them off like crazy any time they see Russian soldiers or vehicles and they haven't run out yet because they keep getting more
Seems like cope.

I don't quite get it, massive currency devaluation is a death blow to a country reliant on imports or with a high debt since they have to pay for mports/debt servicing with an increasingly worthless currency but Russia is a massive net exporter, their main export isn't sanctioned, and Russia is flush with cash and has no net debt

I mean anything they want to import is now going to double in price which is pretty fucking harmful but also all their exports are now worth a lot more in terms of domestic consumption

Do they not have debt, though?

Russia defaulted on its sovereign debt in 1998. If the sanctions are bad enough for the central bank, it might lead to default again, only this time without access to international finance to rebuild their economy.

So yes, possible. But we really don't know.

I don't object to it personally, I just find it foolishly ironic that a person of the Slavic races would idolize a regime that believed them to be racially inferior and in fact favored their extermination.

Russian neo-Nazis exist too, and they're even more ludicrous because their country lost over 20 million people to the real Nazis.

But seriously I understand the goal is to troll the vodka monkeys, I've seen Ukrainian troops drawing Nazi symbolism on their helmets to do this.
