Much of Eastern Europe was proverbially stuck between a rock and a hard place, ie between the German Reich and the Soviet Union. For many in Eastern Europe, Hitler was the lesser of two evils. There were TONS of Eastern Europeans who volunteered to fight alongside the Germans. Many joined volunteer units of the SS, for example the Latvian Legion, or the 1st Galician from Ukraine. Indeed, even a lot of Russians joined the Germans, not seeing the Judeo-Bolshevists in charge of the USSR as representative of Russia, in a ~125,000-strong unit called the Russian Liberation Army, or the Vlasov Army. There was even an entity called the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, which fought alongside the Germans, and then carried on fighting the Soviets until 1956; the modern Ukrainian Right Sector flag is based on the UIA flag. There was a similar guerrilla war in the Baltic states that also lasted until 1956; they are known as the Forest Brothers, for their forest-based insurgency.

It is not a part of my family, but I happen to know like five different people who have at least one Eastern Euro grandparent who fought for the SS, and then fled to the West to avoid Stalin's persecution after the war was lost.

I think it is most reasonable to look at Eastern Euro "Nazism" or "neo-Nazism" as an expression of anti-Soviet politics/values, and a desire from nationalists for national autonomy/sovereignty, rather than being in favour of Soviet propaganda stating that Hitler wanted to exterminate all Soviet citizens. Stalin did a much better job exterminating Eastern Europeans than Hitler ever did.

- The UPA Fought Germany AND the USSR, though it did collaborate with Germany at times as well
- The Ukrainian numbers in the SS is dwarfed by the 8 million Ukrainians who volunteered or were conscripted into the Soviet army
- The Gallican unit was also initially entirely composed of Volk-Germans, then allowed Ukrainian Catholics and finally pressganged Orthodox Ukrainians into service
-The Russian "Liberation Army" like the Hiwis had a lot of people just desperate to escape hellish conditions for Soviet POW's, where about half died in Captivity compared to one in twenty-seven allied POW's dying in Germany captivity.
-The majority of the Baltic troops were conscripts and not volunteers, though they were certainly fiercely anti-soviet
-Like the Ukrainian units, they too were vastly outnumbered by Baltic soviet troops, both volunteers and conscripts.

Hey moron, they had news media standing at the base of that apartment complex\highrise that got hit with a rocket talking about how a woman died in the blast, and also in some other douchebags underground club he turned into a place to sleep. Which means the mainstream media flew a helicopter into the city to get sound bytes and clips for tonight's episode in the last 24 hours. You know who they didn't interview? Zelensky. But they did find a random black guy, and a Lebanese dude to talk to.

Anybody who has been watching closely knows that Kiev hasn't been hit very hard, yet. But all you douche canoes are rowing around in circles making Zelensky out to be the second coming of mother fucking Vasily Zaytsev.

Not yet he isn't. Get back to me when the mechanized infantry and air units start hitting the city. Which they are bound to do if this keeps going.
