Negotiations have finished today. No word on results. My money is on "absolutely fucking nothing has been agreed upon"
Peace talks are still ongoing, some journo sites mistakenly reported a quick break as the end of talks.

Whether we'll see anything come out of it is doubtful.

Anyone want to sperg out about what’s visible on flightradar24.com with me?

obvs if a military plane is visible on a hobbyist plane spotting site it’s because the military wants the enemy to see it, so this isn’t top secret stuff or ‘owt, but I hoped some of you tank geeks might be also able to kiwisplain some plane knowledge?

these are all from the last hour or so but I’ve got screen shots of potentially interesting stuff from the last 36 hours (and you can ‘replay’ on the site and watch a specific time period).

I’ll put most of the images behind spoilers but only so I don’t clog the thread up with geocities-looking graphics, there are no dead Slavs behind these tags…

i’ve got some two screen records of planes disappearing (presumably due to turning transponders off) if anyone wants to see them (including a US Viper than drops off the map near Venice - presumably landing at Aviano Airbase (wikipedia says Aviano is ‘believed to host nuclear weapons’…)

I decided to check out /pol/ for the first time since this conflict started. It's usually pretty bad with shilling on a good day but what the actual fuck is this?

That's every single thread. This is what your tax dollars go toward.
Were these made by a bot?
Now that Russian businesses in the US are being vandalized how long until people unironically call for internment camps for anyone of Russian descent?
Knowing the Democrats they’re already drawing up plans to do so. They had no issues pilfering Japanese, Germans, and Italians in the past. They’ll find a reason to seize funds from immigrants and small business owners again.

This one does show the gruesome aftermath of what happens when you bomb a city full of civvies with rocket artillery. I'm sure we'll hear about a lot more civilian casualties before the day is over.
So are the luchador gloves coming off and the brass knuckles going on finally?

Russia had a speech at the UN that can basically be summed at as "the west is fake news"

-denied starting the war
-denied any reports of civilians being killed
-denied hospitals, schools, etc were shelled by Russia
-denied hitting Chernobyl containment
-denied any plans for occupation

they would prefer to die with a smile than win with a frown
The handful of oligarchs and boot-lickers that have hitched their wagon to the buffoonish song-and-dance man who will gladly give the lives of his [sorta] countrymen for the POZ are fine with their people dying regardless of whether it's with a smile or a frown...

They're cut from the same cloth as that long-time oil & gas expert Hunter Biden - who was paid more in a month than some legitimate oil execs make in a year - so they've probably made bank to play their respective rolls in the whole affair.

The average Ukranian who never really bought into the alleged "European pivot" and frankly was probably sick of the west meddling in their country's affairs with their Orange Revolution and 2014 coup just wants to live in relative peace and harmony. It would explain Corporal Ukraine-by-way-of-Tel-Aviv's abysmal approval ratings pre-invasion. It may yet turn out to be that they, along with disgruntled members of the armed-forces [there have to be a lot of them], can see the difference between dying for Sky Marshal Zelensky's folly and dying for what legitimate national pride they may posses and use the rather gracious opportunity Putin is giving them by merely surrounding most population centers and giving them the opportunity to not be blowed up big-league.

His approval ratings will go up in the short term. But the war will eventually end or the villagers will get bored being angry about it.
The big rise in gas prices isn't going away though and eventually Biden returns to being a boring senile old man
with a set of economic problems he can't deal with.
I'm not so sure Biden will get any bump from this. From the get-go, he has shown basically no leadership aside from "okay let's sanction Russia except um the important bits".

The real hard-hitting sanctions (SWIFT, banks, etc) has all been from the EU. I just don't see Biden profiting from this.
