So now that's KOF and ER that have input lag on the PS5? Isn't this THE GUY that shits all over PC launches 100% of the time?

Of course it isn't input lag, but I think it's hilarious that his excuse for being a pisspoor gamer is that the console he's championed - for like, a year? - is actually shit and fucks up every game and it's the PS5 that's making him lose. He can't even keep his internal consistency straight enough to remember that the PS5, KOF, *and* ER were his long-term bets for "saving the channel".

Is there a running list of everything that was supposed to save his channel? Just in the last year I remember the gta trilogy, the new Xbox, flight simulator, gamepass, halo were all hyped up and were going to save his career.

This whole "strategy", I guess if you want to call it that, is so hilariously stupid. There hasn't been one single new game or product released in the last ten years that led to any substantial or consistent growth of his dying channel but for whatever reason he still has this hope that some brand new game is going to turn everything around and repair his image/channel and he's just holding on until that happens.

Instead of doing anything proactive to reinvent himself and his channel, he just expects some random game developer is going to do all the work and save him.

Didn't Phil say he was part of the MVC2 scene? I know he avoids any game that is outside of his comfort zone (Power rangers BFTG which is a great game btw, melty blood, pretty much every fighting game that isn't extremely mainstream) but he's gotta understand that the meta of all fighting games is to get as many hits in as possible without allowing the other player to get a turn.


Also, about the input lag: I've read that ER does have some input lag on the PS5 and that its a lot better if you plug the controller in. It's also possible that Phil is playing his games through OBS and the input lag is due to his being a dumbass. Or he could just be making it up of course.

Again still not sure what KoF he's playing that has a combo meta and you can do a happy birthday, which not only is impossible to do a happy birthday in KoF but a double, thats near impossible to do in DBFZ, maybe in Marvel. Landing one combo ending and entire match, so ko'ing all 3 characters. In a fighting game with no assist or tag mechanic.

Between this and claims that KoF has no offline mode so he won't play it but if it did he would. He's playing a different KoF than the rest of us.

this KoF seethe is great it's like that "stop having fun" meme just this is his bread and butter, fighting games and nearly no one cares what he thinks and some of those that do tell him how wrong he is. The Seethe is starting to spill over into other games. Before ER came out I was deciding on a 3rd for my KoF team so I can get my ass slapped online, vanessa was fun but now I'm might use her just for the personal lols.

Even better is how he complains about this game but the rest of the FGC from what I've seen are loving it and are excited that P4A is getting roll back after saying they were going with delay based, which is huge as it shows stubborn japanese devs are getting the message about netcode...except bandai namco... BBTAG is getting rollback, DNF, SF6 and Project L on the horizon well far horizon for 2 of them. It's a little too good of a time to like fighting games.

Oh it's not just claims, there's footage of him getting his ass beat at it by a guy who actually knows what he's doing. Like I said, Phil just doesn't absorb anything from experience, that's why he's stuck on Level 1 forever. It's also why he still thinks he can weigh in on fighting games, he hasn't absorbed that he's a scrub with a lot to learn. He just takes the fact that he has been playing them for at least twenty years and goes from there.

I'm telling you, his years spent living with his parents were filled with moments where he got something utterly wrong, Linda said something about it, Dave just sat there in shock at his stupidity, and Phil learned only that his mom was a stubborn bitch because he from birth assumed himself to be right about everything.

What's crazy is that he can be like this about so many things, but knows full well when he tells his biggest lies, like when he pleads poverty, makes up some weak nonsensical excuses for not doing co-op with his fans, or that he's not a mobile gaming addict with tons of time on his hands absent of said addiction. The only logical explanation I can arrive at for that is Phil only recognizes that others will feel some type of way about his admission, he doesn't feel the guilt or shame himself. He can't be embarrassed about wasting a hundred grand on wrestling jpegs, he can only be embarrassed by the jokes at his expense over it.

Which is abnormal as hell, because plenty of weirdos are open about their kinks even though they know the ridicule over them is coming, and they don't give a fuck, because what matters to them is their OWN regret over their activities. Not anyone elses. The guy that used to be in my avatar? Shane Diesel? Dude loves eating and fucking ass as much as Derich loves watching such scenes, and you'll never see him care about what anyone has to say about that. He just laughs and keeps fucking.

Phil claims that Elden Ring probably has more input lag, like KOFXV, because KOFXV on PS5 has the most input lag. Something about UE4 on the PS5 does create more input lag, he's not wrong, but using KOFXV as a baseline the difference between PS4 and PS5 is around 2 frames, or 20ms. This is something that really good fighting game players absolutely can notice, and will throw them off, but it's not something that you can't get used to either.
Whenever Phil fucks up and blames input lag, he's usually doing something seconds late. So let me ask you, which one do you think is more likely?
A) DSP, despite being 40 years old not looking a day over 60, has such good reflexes and inputs that he can notice 20ms difference.
B) DSP is full of shit and his gin-brain can't dodge

Just took a look at his Elden ring videos. I must admit his numbers are way better then his Horizon and skyrim playthroughs (except Part12 all his Elden Ring vids have over 1k views at the minimum). Though if that alone will save anything I am not sure. Imho most view this particular game to see him raging. I would bet that his coming games won't get the same numbers. Imagine if he ragequits this game (not gonna happen he most likely has consumed more guides to make him look good). and what is next on the menu? What comes next in the hardcore begging season?

can't find it now but I'm 90% sure somewhere listed the full results of Evo 05 at one time, and he placed around 14th or so in MvC2, that same Evo he got his infamous 4th place. You can find videos of him talking about how Marvel 2 was his main game before he lucked out in Street Fighter.

His main game was the ToDfest known as MvC2 before his fluke 4th place finish at Evo, then he rebranded into a Super Turbo expert and robust Street Fighter veteran. So yeah, it's ironic that he's bitching about KoFXV and calling it a ToDfest despite the fact that you have to spend your entire maxed out meter in XV to do an 80%-100% khambo. It's nothing like old KoF dood! You know, like KoF '98 where you can do an 80% khambo with most characters off of a cross-up, 2-4 follow-up hits and finishing it with a level 2 super. Old game good new game bad.

If I remember correctly he indirectly defended old ToDshit games by saying that they have "better damage scaling," I honestly fail to see the point of a fighting game having robust damage scaling if you still can perform a 100+ hit combo that takes all your life with relative ease. Take the most infamous ToDshit game - Hokuto no Ken by ArcSys. 90% of the game is just 2 faggots playing either Rei or Toki and performing 100% combos on each other, the damage scaling quickly gets to a point where you do 1 point of damage with every single move that's not a super, but that still doesn't prevent people from being able to consistently do a 100% combo that takes away all 7 stars in the first round, then do a short combo which takes away 1 star on the second round after which they can perform the instakill super move.

It doesn't even matter, because in reality, Phil is kept afloat by people too stupid to quit supporting him. Yes, he gets more tips for certain games because certain retards prefer them, but if it mattered THAT much, he would've had to quit streaming years ago. Absent of a mobile gaming addiction, Phil would have way more money sitting around to keep the bills paid and be just fine for a very long time, even while wasting money on other things, because even he can only eat so much food and drink so much booze.

Phil's big push these days is to soothe his ego, he finally feels bad enough about his legacy to do something about it. It just happens to involve telling everybody else to do the heavy lifting, so it looks like it's business as usual. But it isn't, Phil is bothered by his rep, and that's the only reason he suddenly cares about his dead-ass channel. Though part of the reason he suddenly cares about his rep is because he lost Twitch, and now he can't really ignore YT anymore.

That blow really did a number on him, it was almost as big of a "No Phil, you actually did everything wrong" as when Leanna walked out on him. He may not have absorbed the truth, but he knew he was being told he was incorrect in a huge way that doesn't come along often.

I was almost impressed when Phil was persevering in the early game to beat incredibly tough bosses you're not meant to fight yet out of sheer will.
Only a little bit later and he's cheesing bosses with summons and claiming the game is fundamentally broken.
Why wasn't the input delay such an issue when he was fighting the horse dude?
