so the little chap starts out in Frankfurt (Germany) and lands in Rzeszów (Poland) - this is pretty much directly across the Ukraine border from Lviv, which is more or less a straight line from Kyiv. The airport is grandly titled ‘international’ but I just looked at it via satellite images doesn’t look very big (funnily enough it is marked as ‘busier than usual’ right now)

There’s a bunch of other stuff in the area, including c130s belonging to Poland, Greece and the US Air Forces, at least 4 US Blackhawks, that Redeye thingy that LaxerBRO described above, some sort of Polish government plane, a USAF learjet, a couple of mysterious light aircraft with ‘Royal Star’ in their names, something belonging to the army of teeny-tiny Luxembourg (population 600 thousand) and an Airbus flying from Moscow to Istanbul that probably shouldn’t have been in Poland’s airspace. This is my thing. How in the hell do you task your pilots when every eyeball your enemy has is watching your very limited working airfields. They take off and it's literally a dogpile to end them as quickly as possible. Not to mention the cruise missile threat. They are going to have to put Phalanxes and Patriots on every airfield they use....and they don't have any.
