Because What the shit's phrasing of it came off as more mean-spirited than warranted, in my opinion. If someone's trying to be an IRL idol but fails, there could be plenty of other reasons besides just mental or social issues, and I think the imbalance between supply and demand is the biggest one. It's the same way how for every Hollywood movie star there are a hundred people who are probably perfectly competent actors but are waiting tables or tending bars while they wait for a break that might never come.

I don't get why you think these girls deserve praise for singing karaoke at an average to above average standard. I'll say I respect some of them like Ina who is quite talented as an artist + a professional outside of her vtubing, but seriously most of these girls just sit there and rake in super chats for speaking in a fake baby voice or saying sex words tehee.

I couldn't find anything on her twitter (rushia or personal), even on archives. It's also a very different message from what her other tweets seem to be saying. I think it should be a bit obvious given that we're supposed to believe that Google translate actually said "holomem."

Majority of /vt/ is defending Cover saying that Fubuki would quit if company was bad or if she was made to say things she does not believe/agree with.

Is there any truth towards that or is it just cope. I doubt some jap would skip out on big money just cause company made her act dismissive towards recently fired person (Rushia)
 
I was willing to give Rushia some slack because I thought all these girls were like college age/making side cash straight out of high school with their free time while studying, but I've been reading the Vtuber thread here because the situation genuinely interests me how it seemingly snowballed so quickly out of such a non-issue. (Surprised at the amount of cope and defending muh mental health in there.)

Find out this bitch is 33 and suicide baiting? Lmao.

Almost all of these vtubers are in their late 20’s or early 30’s. Their youth is a complete myth, just like their boyfriend-free status.

During the Coco Taiwan incident, Fubuki came out and said that she would leave if Cover was ever truly bad, with the proof of honesty being that she sided with her and gave up Bilibili money in the process. /vtranny/ immediately eats it up, despite simultaneously holding the (contradictory) belief that Cover doing business with China never paid money.

It's far more likely that they saw the success of HoloEN, and any honorabu samurai monetary sacrifice from leaving the Chinese market was immediately offset by reactionary westoid paypigging.
If you truly believe that Coco was sent to the banishment room during the 8 months up to her leaving, Fubuki playing canary is fake as fuck. She's a corporate shill through and through and the only thing that her promise accomplishes is tricking retards into turning their brand into a religion. The real takeaway is that the venn diagram of /vt/ and r/hololive is a circle, separated only by users who say 'chud' and users who say 'nigger'.

An unrelated big think: the "eeeeevil HoloCN traitors" got a graduation, Rushia got a contract termination. Funny how that works.

EN certainly made that decision a lot easier but the issue was a bit more complex than just throwing it away for the Western market.

Artia basically did what Rushia did but worse as hers was genuine intent to harrass or make things harder for everyone. Initally Cover posted 2 different statements on their Chinese channels to the english one, with the Chinese statement pledging they stood for the "One China Policy". Western fans called them out on this and they walked it back.

In the meantime the chinese harrassment groups were getting on a roll and Artia, one of the CN Hololive members with most english coverage was making vague "oh how dare they" statements and tweeting about things they were working with Cover behind the scenes. There was also some evidence that she was using her discord to pass out the bot software the chinese were using to spam virtually every Hololive members chat for a few weeks leading to removal of live chat on videos, superchats being turned off ect. Artia prob costed Hololive more money than Coco and Haachama did.

But yes I agree CN got much lighter terms for graduation over Rushia - I think that was in the hopes of quelling the bot spam where Rushia's simps were always unlikely to cause the other Holo's much trouble for her termination. Not that they were blameless in both cases, they still handled Coco awkwardly and drove the member who prob worked hardest to bring it all together to a point that they decided they needed to leave for their own good.

So Nijisanji recently debuted their second generation of male vtubers. Their previous gen of penis-havers from only a couple months ago has been a runaway success so it seems like they wasted little time getting more cash cows out there.

One of them, Sonny Brisko, portrays a cop from the future. Pre-launch, this got him a lot of hate from performative ACAB types on Twitter.

Post-launch, we have unconfirmed but likely info that his roommate is sketchek, a TF2 YouTuber who announced he had a terminal illness in 2015, then left the Internet for over three years before meekly coming back and begging off his disappearance as a "sick joke." Indeed.

As always, while English-speaking male VTubers aren't nearly as big as the women (VTuber fans will switch from simping over VTubers to simping over clippers if they find out that the clipper is a girl), this still seems to be getting some attention. From what I can tell, the guy was a minor when he faked his death and wanted a melodramatic way to close his channel. Then he realized that TF2 was putting dedications to him in the game, and he fessed up (supposedly out of guilt). When it comes to an edgy, nameless teen faking terminal illness vs a furry troon faking suicide to get a site taken down, I'll side with the former. Much more interested in seeing if Twitter mobs try to "hold him accountable," whatever that means in 2022.

Not saying it's an impossible idea, but a Rushia thread seems contrived, at least for now. It's very easy to imagine Cover forfeiting superchat money that hasn't been paid out yet, or fines for breaking the NDA, or some sort of other issue. Aside from rumored superchat allocations, we don't even know how much money any of these VTubers make - only that they make enough to stream full-time. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Threads on her whales, however, might be a little more fun. It's a shame that they seems pretty quiet when the streams aren't live.

Completely fair. Maybe a catch all thread, I don't know. But it was why I mentioned to wait and see how her Mikeneko streams went, curious to see if she will be more unhinged as an indie since she has no wranglers to stop her from being a complete fuck up.

Her whales might be fun if it is true she was sending them private messages, which I could easily see becoming more of a thing with out an agency behind her.
