Because What the shit's phrasing of it came off as more mean-spirited than warranted, in my opinion. If someone's trying to be an IRL idol but fails, there could be plenty of other reasons besides just mental or social issues, and I think the imbalance between supply and demand is the biggest one. It's the same way how for every Hollywood movie star there are a hundred people who are probably perfectly competent actors but are waiting tables or tending bars while they wait for a break that might never come.But why phrase it "more charitably" at all?
