ATTENTION THREAD TOURISTS

Nothing will happen when the sun is down in Russia. Sunrise, like in most of the northern hemisphere is around 6 AM and sunset is around 6 PM. That means happenings will proceed between 10 PM Eastern Standard Time and 10 AM Eastern Standard time.

Stop asking.

(please react so we can make this a highlight)
Are you telling me that Russians can't fight at night?

Americans fight at night. Have I been fucking lied to? I thought Russia was unstoppable and strong and not afraid of the dark.

Now maybe I am just a fucking retard but I actually trust the Chinese map for one reason and one reason only, I can think of no reason as to why the Chinks would lie about this one specific thing. I mean think about it, what would the chinks have to gain by making fake maps that practically nobody outside of China is going to see? To shore up confidence in their Pseudo-Ally Russia? Since when has public opinion mattered to the CCP? I just cannot think of a reason why the chinks would just make shit up, this goes against everything I have ever learned regarding trusting chinks but I genuinely cannot see why they would lie.
Public opinion still matters in the CCP, just not in the same ways as the west. They still need to keep a good portion of the population on their side to keep things running smoothly. Also it would give confidence in the idea that they could take Taiwan. "Look see, Russia can do it, so can we if we need to". Plus anything that makes their ally look stronger than the ally of the west is in their interest to push.

what was your take? it got shoved under Putin bananas
That Belarus is being used to secure the border to block out the majority of foreign aid to Ukraine. This will go alongside Russia surrounding and sieging any resisting cities of Ukraine, but rather than trying to actually take them they will set up a perimeter and let them all die to starvation.

BELARUS HAS CROSSED THE BORDER INTO THE UKRAINE
Lol, all these countries sending shit to Ukraine are gonna feel stupid when Russia takes it all. Ukraine had no chance without allies and reddit jannies are too busy being violenced upon by having the enemy misprouncing their pronouns to help Ukraine. We literally watched a country die and watch everyone send their thoughts and prayers on social media.

But to be fair to Ukraine they fought hard and Russia has a lot of fucking kinks to iron out because my god some of these fails from the RF were embarrassing.

The worst part of what appears to be Russia's strategy is that there is no way to counter it since Ukraine is alone. They don't have the forces to break a siege from the outside.

The Russians need to just shell and bomb anything inside that looks significant, and even if some units break out of the city the mobile elements of the Russian forces will be on standby to zoom in and annihilate them. This right here is the end. If this is in fact the plan then Ukraine is officially lost.
Ukrainians will be able to fly missions from Polish airbases though, won't they? It would be more than optimistic to think whatever's left of their airforce + donated craft could break a massive siege, but I suppose it's still better than nothing. They'll probably be blown out of the sky as soon as Russian missile systems are fully in place, though.

Well, that would mean this guy lied just recently. Why would a national leader lie? That's shameful!

Russia's big gear is heavily defense-focused. The idea being to use Russia's great size to make every inch of Russian soil an absolute bloodbath to the enemy.

It's why Ukraine has no hope if the idea is to starve them out. It lets Russia entrench around the city and get to play off its best strength, its defense.
In that case it makes sense that the Russians waited to send those in after securing a bunch of territory/air superiority first.

Russian saboteurs are apparently like genestealers

John Carpenter's The Thing is real and in Ukraine right now in the form of Russians

That'd be a lot of land to get over, against the best AA in the world.
