To shed a little light on this. Salvation is supposed to be this amazing spiritual transformation. Where Jesus enters your heart and makes you a new person. After that you are supposed to spread the word and bring others into the fold. as to the puppy thing, dogs are temporary but hell is forever. So it's better to be saved and forced to worship god for eternity than have a puppy and go to hell. As the puppy could be a distraction and you could love it more than Jesus. Yeah it's pants on head stupid. I've been to church all my life and I've seen every kind of hypocrisy you can think of from people like her. In my experience the ones who shout the loudest, cry the most, or proclaim how much they love Jesus are the one's to watch out for. They're usually pretty good at justifying abhorrent behavior. Take Brooklyn for example fake dying and lying for attention is ok with god because she's spreading the teachings of Jesus. I am religious but in my opinion a good dog is more proof of God than any holy book.

Are religious nuts still debating on whether or not dogs go to heaven? Because if they don't, we'll be fine in Hell with all the puppies we loved more than Jesus.

The more fundamentalist say no and tend to get mad at the idea that god would allow dogs or any animals into heaven. It's funny to point out Ecclesiastes 3: 18-21
18I said to myself, “As for the sons of men, God tests them so that they may see for themselves that they are but beasts.” 19For the fates of both men and beasts are the same: As one dies, so dies the other—they all have the same breath. a Man has no advantage over the animals, since everything is futile. 20All go to one place; all come from dust, and all return to dust.

21Who knows if the spirit of man rises upward and the spirit of the animal descends into the earth? 22I have seen that there is nothing better for a man than to enjoy his work, because that is his lot. For who can bring him to see what will come after him?
Suddenly the bible is a lot less literal and open to interpretation. To them heaven is just worshipping god for eternity and smugly laughing at the people being tortured for eternity. Nothing says love and compassion like narcissism. The more sane can't imagine a heaven where they don't allow pets in.

Man, that really sucks for the people who actually need ports. I understand that doctors need to be (and should be) skeptical, but I couldn't imagine being a parent who is getting things denied that are actually needed.
I don't think it's true. I'm not sure what they mean by port abuse, unless someone is using them to shoot up or deliberately infecting lines munchie style. A port is something that requires a doctor and surgeon to sign off, usually needs a legit reason. Kind of hard to get for something just fashionable, though I know munchies pull it off sometimes. Most people don't even access them at home, and wouldn't know how to if they wanted. Are we sure Mom just doesn't have some fear of port abuse?

Plain difficult vein access isn't enough if they don't need frequent access in the first place. Story doesn't make sense outside brother needing something like infusions or chemo. Why would they order a surgical procedure to insert a central device that needs monthly flushes for the occasional blood draw (and for a note, even with a port they usually just do a traditional blood draw because access is a pain in the ass and requires a special nurse)? People that need them usually get them without issue.

Just wanted to give an update for this chick. Shes still "dying".

I found this on one of her Instagram posts. Interesting that a doctor told her she was faking for attention.

I may keep an eye on her and see what miracle keeps her from dying. To me it's fairly obvious she wants the attention dying brings especially from Christians. The Facebook post was shown to me by family member and it just screamed munchie to me.
I’ve been watching her hospice saga as well and I have to say she is the healthiest goddamn dying person I’ve ever seen which means she’s most definitely not on her deathbed despite what her purple prose Instagram captions claim. I would fund her munchie suicide pursuits for the rest of her days if she would just explain how she is dying from straight up non terminal, non fatal, completely manageable diseases.

Edit for typos oops

I've been enjoying following this one so I'm glad she's under discussion. She just seems so deep into it that I don't think that she can crawl out of it without a massive ego crumple. She's already said she's off the TPN and on the pain meds. She withdrew on the 8th, supposedly, so it's coming up to the three week mark. This is in contrast to the post that says she started home hospice on Jan 17 and predicted she only had four weeks to go, "if I know my own body".

I took some time to acquaint myself with her instagram and I am not unconvinced by her ICU pictures, her story behind it less so. Despite all the waffle she manages to keep the important information vague. She never really talks about what she's allergic to, just that she has "multiple" allergies. Apart from potassium, of course. It's not like you're meant to experience a massive hypokalemia when you have anaphylaxis or anything. I'm sorry but claiming an allergy to IV potassium is actually hilarious.

In her ICU pics she doesn't looks particularly post-anaphylaxis - no swelling or hives - but who knows, they could have pumped her with steroids and antihistamines. However, looking at the pumps in one of the ICU pics all that seems to be up is propofol and fluids. I can't completely confirm whether it was anaphylaxis or not, but I cannot completely rule out the possibility that she, with her BMI of 14 at the lowest, wasn't messing about with her potassiums at home. In a way, I'm reminded somewhat of my personal favorite sued-her-doctor-potassium-mystery munchie Evie, but I think Brooklyn's aware of what she's posting and is intentionally vague. She listed the constant anaphylaxises as a reason God gave her the green-light for suicide but I'm sure she considers itchy skin and mild heart rate increase from anxiety to be anaphylaxis too.

Oh my god she's so dying that the oxygen prongs aren't even in her nose.
Oxygen from a nasal cannula is kind of uncomfortable to wear because it's a constant stream of very dry air, so it's not uncommonly worn on one nostril or even taken off temporarily, but do you know what's more uncomfortable than a dry nose? That's right, hypoxia.
Her nasal cannula appeared not before Jan 2020 after "three cases of anaphylaxis" that month, but also, conveniently, a visit to a friend who shared many of the same conditions and notably in their selfie together he had a nasal cannula himself.

In all fairness the first half of Ecclesiastes is meant to be from someone's existential crisis perspective explaining why life is essentially pointless, so it shouldn't make doctrine material - he's literally saying "we dunno". It goes on in the later chapters the perspective reverses to say "life good because God".

The worst thing about Brooklyn's puppies vs salvation comment is that she thought she was being incredibly funny when she wrote it. Instead it just makes her look generally uncompassionate and not particularly spiritually insightful. I think it would be funny if someone revealed to her how bad her attempts at sarcasm, and indeed writing, are some time before she dies.

Rare disease day does indeed mean munchies are extra insufferable. Here’s Victoria with her updated list of rare diseases and, without a shred of irony or self awareness, says her “conjoined” and thus necessarily identical twin fetus deposited a separate set of dna inside Victoria. Her dead conjoined twin also somehow caused all of her fantasy lineup of illnesses, most of which are genetic and cannot be caused by such a thing.

Is a "Womb Survivor" whatever comes out of Sapphire Crimson Claw cursing an already occupied womb? That could explain a lot about Victoria!

(Side note: does she actually honestly think that she also absorbed diseasefetusmagictwin's DNA? Wouldn't that essentially mean she has tetraploidy of nearly every chromosome? Did she put in any thought here or just shit out whatever got auto-suggested? What would her posts read like if she ever did put in an ounce of critical thinking skills? I swear if I knew her outside of the Farms she'd be one of those people so truly bizarre I lose sleep over it.)

Huh, maybe human's really were made in a narcissistic God's image...

I wonder if she had a benign teratoma and the combination of low intelligence and florid mental illness has made her think she absorbed her conjoined twin.

FWIW I am having a port placed soon for cancer treatment/to pull blood prior to my polycythemia vera phlebotomies to minimize unnecessary sticks as my veins are wrecked. I have a medical background (won't PL more than that) and my doctor and I were discussing this and he has said they're becoming more skeptical about placements for certain patient types but I think it's more about increasing scrutiny than denying placements for otherwise necessary cases.

TL;DR: I think you're mostly right.

Patients with FDIOS tend to fuck around with their ports, and then also you have low-SES pts who can't keep the fucking thing clean. Placing a port is doing more harm than good in both these situations.

I would pay actual money dollars for a doctor to dunk on her claims, but only if he does it while in his office and wearing a white coat. I know that medicine is a big ol kiss ass game these days, with the dumdum decision to give patients the power to leave meaningful reviews, but my god, it would be awesome.
Same. Any chance Mama Doctor Jones reads here?

My personal, non-medical opinion is that a port should be a last resort when there is no other reliable venous access. The risks highly outweigh the rewards. Skepticism here is good. I wish more patients were skeptical too.
