Jim Sterling / James "Stephanie" Sterling / James Stanton/Sexton & in memoriam TotalBiscuit (John Bain) - One Gaming Lolcow Thread

Yes, it's very easy to not find a child molester in a group of 8 people.

A full third of the choir have convictions for child molestation, from soliciting to inappropriate touching, all the way through to multiple rapes. It recontextualises the chorus somewhat. There was a handy infographic using the split screen shot of them all, highlighting the criminals. They included everybodys name on the website which made looking up their rap sheets simplicity itself; weaponised autism was barely required...

...perhaps a better contrast might be:

This has got me thinking about rockin' theme tunes used by internet famous types, and perhaps there is a connection between how hard a YouTube reviewer's theme blasts out and how retarded they eventually become? Spoony, Film Brain, Jim Sterling all stole distinctive rock music to use as intros.

See, no one who bitches about Dark Souls being too hard ever has had this mentality. Played DS1, thought it had some cool ideas and I dug the gothic castlevania vibe, but the gameplay wasn't just for me and moved on with my life.

I guess it's because the From Software games are popular and these shallow "need to fit in the clique" are constantly trying to play whatevers hip and hot right now to stay relevent, which leads to these dorks never "gittin gud" since they play every new big game at a surface level for a week rather than either investing time into one title like I would with say DMC5 or just playing for enjoyment and relaxation like the average person.

For the better or worse, Souls games have become a symbol of "prestige" so to say, because of that, you have all flavors of non-gamers you can think of (trannys, game journalists, mobile game players etc.) flocking to them in droves and then pretty much hitting a wall, and then demanding an "easy mode" if not flat out a "skip gameplay" button. And they're too dumb to realize that that giving Dark Souls an easy mode pretty much would take away what made the series a staple in the videogame industry in the first place.

It is really cringeworthy seeing people who are barely capable of playing walking simulators (if that) demanding an easy mode for Dark Souls, as if they're somehow entitled to be able to beat any game in the series just because.

The thing people who cry out for an “Easy” mode don’t understand is the same thing the “OMG why does everyone who likes Guitar Hero/Rock Band wanna play metal songs?” people don’t get: IT’S THE FEELING OF ACCOMPLISHMENT!

Troons want life to have an easy mode that's why they put on a wig and pump themselves with hormones rather than working on themselves

Actually improving your life by getting gud like going the gym or taking up a challenging hobby is alien to them they won't understand the accomplishment of starting a hard task to feel the enjoyment of success

HOLUP.

I didn’t know their NAMES were public. The last I heard was “LOL they’re using the tiny photos and getting false positives” and I didn’t look into it any further because I loathe pedos with a deep and burning passion.

I’ll be honest here: I bought into the whole “We’re the innocent gays who just wanna live our lives” thing because, honestly, I need to believe that there are good, honest people out there. That said, as I’ve learned more about the vocal parts of the LGBT community all I see are the stereotypes of kid diddlers and sex pests.

It’s cliche as hell but Kiwi Farms has woken me up to a lot of harsh realities and that’s AFTER I personally experienced how shitty these people are when you stop indulging them.

They're also incredibly sensitive to banter. Because telling someone to Git Gud is literal violence. IIRC the "Git Gud" reference was born, or at least gained traction, out of an angst from people who kept going "how do I improve at the game". In a game like Dark Souls where a lot of the game relies on your ability to actually play the game well, you can only give so many tips to help people along before the answer is simply "Git Gud".

Troons hate gitting gud. They want to be told they're gud at all times all the time. There's something quite poetic about a troon commenting about a community they can't force their way into because trans. Can't bruteforce your estrogen flavoured gelatine ass into this one, Jimbo.

The video is such a chore to even watch because Jim doesn't pay even the slightest amount of heed to this, and frankly its always so weird to me when I see people talk about the horrible toxicity of From game fans. 90% of interactions are the most casual things, you go on a steam forum or reddit page for any of these games and the most common topic of discussion is people asking other players for assistance via summoning. If you complain about specific bosses or areas like Blighttown people will generally try and give you actually helpful advice about where to go or what to bring to mitigate your problems. The most hardcore and 'toxic' element of the community is primarily focused around the PVP which the likes of Jim Sterling are almost certainly not interacting with deliberately. Even 'Git Gud' is used tongue in cheek 99% of the time I see it.

Where the fuck are these toxic gravelorders who are out to attack Jim specifically? Its not like horrendously toxic game communities don't exist, certainly I've been turned off plenty of Fighting games or MOBAs because of that, but the likes of Dark Souls really aren't that at all. It seems more likely to me when people defend the principles around which Fromsoft games are designed that has led to their high difficulty Jim and his cohort immediately throw a hissy fit and start whining about toxic gamers who hate disabled people and stunning and beautiful non-binary gendertrash like himself. And then he has the balls to pretend that its the GAMERZ that are the toxic complainers?

God this video is one of the worst he's done in a long time, he doesn't make any attempt to hide the fact that he outright loathes most of the people who might want to watch his content (he even brings up gamergate in the year of our lord 2022 lol), instead he just goes ahead and plays the victim about how badly he's been treated by the GAMERZ (with no actual evidence to back this up, not even a single screenshot of some nobody on twitter saying Git Gud) and then wonders why people have an increasingly negative reaction towards him. No, don't worry Jim, you're right, its because they are all just uniformly hateful little goblins living in a toxic swamp that hate you for no reason apart from the fact that you wear a terrible looking wig and a inch of badly applied makeup, its them, not you!

Topics worthy of talking about in relation to Elden Ring:
  • Was the move to open-world a good thing?
  • Did Bloodborne's action focus change the series moving forward?
  • Should this series have been kept as a dungeon crawler to begin with, or does puzzle solving not compliment this series?
  • Isn't it time for From Soft to try something else? Maybe make a new mecha game?
  • Should the series keep the fanservice so high?
  • Talk about why by why it's stupid difficulty is only measured by how often/easily you die is stupid.
I don't play this series so I can't answer, but there are absolutely more interesting things than "GAMERZ ABUSE ME BECAUSE THEY SAY MEAN THINGS ABOUT ME! well that Jim goes back to for every single release. For someone who thinks this is a stupid argument, he sure loves to take it every time without fail despite having literally nothing new each time. Wake me up when Jim falls below 800K.

People who take that video sincerely are the type of people who'd also take this sincerely.
The difference is Oingo Boingo, to the best of my knowledge, never had an open manifesto for molesting kids.

Meanwhile, the gays are willingly sharing an umbrella with the tranny community, who openly and unabashedly champion grooming kids into mutilating their genitals, so while I don't think the song was intentionally sinister, 'we're going to convert your children' in the current climate was, as some like to say, very bad optics.

OT: I've long maintained the only 'easy mode' Soulslike games should have is a bonfire right outside boss arenas, because the run-back is tedious and tests nothing but my patience, and from what I've read Elden Ring has this feature so there you go Jimbo: Easy mode unlocked.

You forget rule #1 with liberals: when they accuse you of something, it means they want to do it to you. When he says people are toxic, he means they dont eant to be bullied around by people who hate them.

I generally get sick and tired of how his type has to automatically go to dehumanizing language but has a hissyfit of someone says anything confrontational to him. It shows hes a scumbag and knows it.

But they have life on easy mode as a large chunk of them have speedrun life. Birth to grave in under 40 years. Not a fan of the dick slicing glitch,

You sound like you want Jim to dress up like an olden days aristo and read out what you wrote in a silly voice....that'll show you man, you just wait.

Remember when Disney paid 70%+ of professional reviewers to rubbish Warner Bros films? And when it came to the Taxi Driver soft reboot, The Mouse paid real journalists to spread rumours that a mass shooting was going to happen at one of the cinemas? Perhaps a similar paid dating relationship exists between Bethesda and game reviewers where "difficult" games are concerned? Given Todd & co have dumbed down every title of note to the point when you are a living god by level 10, he might have a buisness reason for rubbishing games that keep up the heat on a player.

Not that Jim is being paid directly for this sort of non-review, of course. He's just late to the party, as ever.

The same "Games are art" crowd who ignored Pathologic 1 and 2 or gave them bad reviews still don't understand the concept of difficulty as an artistic and philosophical choice in a game. They're hypocrites. They just want the prestige of being smart. But aren't actually smart and don't even like games.

Can I talk about how awful Jim's makeup is. I mean, lipstick on a pig and all that, but like, what the fuck is he going for? Highschool goth chick from the 90s?

It's real bad. He could at least put some effort into it if he's going to bother with the fucking wig and top hat for every stream.

That weird five minute seethe about Wrestling was cringe. I don't care that you don't like wrestling. Just talk about Jim. Plenty of gamers like wrestling. Hell, wrestlers do gimmicks related to their love of video games. You'd have to be an oblivious idiot not to see the overlap between wrestling, anime, and video games. If that's not your world then fine. But just because Wrestling is another gross outlet for Jim's weird shit doesn't mean you should go off topic when I don't care about you. I just want to know what happened to Jim.
