He's from Ireland (Northern Ireland?), we've already done the whole 30-year war.
Lucky him, I guess. I've had experience getting out of Donbass in 2014, I really don't want to experience that.

Oh good, I hear refugees talking about their husbands getting them out to the border and couldn't get out because they are not allowed to leave.

It's like my brain is giving me a white feather, cool.

>You think anyone cares about it besides Russia?
Correct
>Aggressors are ultimately
I'm pretty sure the Geneva convention doesn't have "the side that's wrong" exceptions. Officially. Your first observation ofc is still correct.
What Nations primarily wrote the Geneva convention? The fucking Swiss are condemning it and sanctioning and they are supposed to be "neutral".

Can someone tell me if these are VDV vehicles or if this is just blind guessing.View attachment 3033915
It's hard to tell, but a definite tell for if there's VDV is the presence of BMD type vehicles, which I think the lead one might be from the hull shape. When I googled for a Bucha ambush, I did see destroyed airborne vehicles, but it was from two or three days ago and not right now.

Correct. Geneva and Hague conventions deal with the conduct and rules of war. They dont specify or even mention the justifications or reasons of wars. Because that will be impossible to get accepted by the major nations.

I'd say it was bad. As in some GO would get fired for losing that many bodies in the US Army bad. That's at least 7 types of AFVs and a few trucks. I know it's a meme that Russia isn't soft like the US and can take the losses but thats at least few dozen dead and a few million of equipment gone with some lost to replenish the enemy.
I count 6 APCs and like 3 trucks for sure burnt out there, I'm just loling at calling that a large convoy

A large convoy the wreckage would go all the way back along the road until the trees cut off vision. That's maybe a mile long stretch of road visible and there's blown up vehicles on not even a quarter of it

Like I'm sure a couple majors maybe a colonel got some cyka blyatting in when the reports started reaching them but it happens in war. If it is happening all the time that's pretty bad for Russia, but is it? Ukrainians say yes, Rooskis say no

25 years in Slovak jail for him!

I'm glad to see that the cause of defending Ukraine is so self-evidently just and righteous that questioning it makes you a criminal. That doesn't raise eyebrows at all!

Anyway, I was googling some info on some Russian tech and came across a few more pics of it being wrecked on Twitter.

Quadcopters are for IEDs and ghetto recon. Good luck on the guns though. Best they'll get in Germany is Airsoft garbage and maybe gunparts from some militaria collector.
Nah, it's Austria.

And what I'm hearing from the owner of the studio and some ukrainian coworkers they apparently got their hands on some stuff from the Yugo war (every now and then some old yugo loses his fingers, because he is playing around with old grenades/ammo from the war, they still keep that shit in their basements).

Good luck transporting that shit to the border without getting blown up.

Survivors guilt, truth is a lot of us think your government is trying to get a lot of you killed for propaganda purposes (which is retarded, give Vlad a hard time and he'll do on his own eventually) so just accept that the only use you'll be back home is being in a body bag for some retards to cry over on social media.

I don't know if that helps, but it sure as fuck isn't better than what you have now.

The ukrainian dance studio in my building put this list up (in broken German).

It's a donation list of equipment they need and are going to bring to the ukrainian border:

They want gauze, pain meds, gloves, syringes etc.

Then they ask for Quadcopters (?), body armor, helmets, camouflage-guns (??) and thermal cameras. Wtf?

Yeah, sure. Let me get my full body armor and thermal camera from the basement, bro.

What is this world???
Quadcopters refers to small handheld drones

I assume Camouflage Kanonen means camouflage paint that can be applied to vehicles and weapons.

Airborne units don't usually drop with a fuck ton of armor, but what do I know. Russians are retarded.
VDV are a notable exception. Their basic squad level assets are meant to include a BMD, so their default is "a fuck ton of armor". That said, these guys probably didn't get dropped in rather than driving in the normal way, and to facilitate being air deployable, a BMD is very light and about as armored as a the average storage container for wet cat food. They do have a lot of weaponry to offset that, but they're not well protected vehicles.

I want to be clear to everyone, No matter what the images show no matter if its staged, faked or otherwise. Nobody cares but the Russians and they will get spit-roasted for it at the end of the day. The west is not gonna shut air passage down and hurt their economy while investing into their military in the 100's of billions for fun. This war Putin started is the worst thing to happen to a world power in recent times.

"The basic mindset of people in the West, is that you can punish the Russians economically, and they'll throw their hands up. My argument is, when core strategic considerations are at stake, countries will suffer enormously, before they throw their hands up. And they are going to suffer because Ukraine matters to them, while Ukraine doesn't really matter to us."

Damn, Ukraine is going to end up as the dumping ground for the last remnants of all the 20th century Euro conflicts.

Ignoring the fact that the geneva convention does not distinguish between aggressors and defenders, this is just a massively insane argument. Though I doubt Ukraine will be coming out of this war anyway, I suspect that you will not be making this argument the next time some Ukrainian soldier gets ass raped by a dirt farmer in whatever future regime change war comes along.
War crimes will happen in every war. No rank and file soldier actually knows what's in those conventions and most of those who do know do not really care.

I know plenty of officers personally. Not a single one I know would give a fuck about any treaties if the future of the entire nation is on the line. I know for a fact that some treaties, like the Ottawa treaty, are things that will be discarded the moment real combat starts. Ukrainians were idiots to ever take part in such a stupid agreement.

That said, this is still a stupid thing to film and publish. It just plays to your enemy's advantage.

Just to be clear, you dropped your hat. 🎩

I have to wonder if Russia is surprised by the outright hysteria this has generated. They probably calculated a major backlash (sanctions, denunciations, ect), but I don't think they calculated how hysterical Western leaders and populations would get.
Eh, not really. At least those who have witnessed all the shit that has to come with Euromaidan have had expected that if the shit hits the fans again we'll be on the "face to the economic wall" list.
Happened exactly that.
