I.e. Ukraine, with the difference that ukies are ok with being used as a cannon fodder against Russia.

on contrary, there is overwhelming public support and anger for this. That's the main fail that western arm chair generals don't understand. No one is forcing anyone, there are plenty of ways to run away to avoid conflict. No one is holding anyone at gun point to fight.

Russian troops on the other hand, most don't know where they are headed to and have no reason to fight.

We talk about Trump because he took situations like this seriously, instead of just moralfagging about them. U.S. diplomacy from 1992-2016 was based on the premises:
  1. It's different when we do it.
  2. Governments we don't like have no legitimate interests.
  3. Foreign policy tools that hurt US corporate interests are off the table.
  4. Nothing the US does is an act of war.
I don't know what Trump would have done. I do know he kept us out of war for four years. I also know that he was under siege by the government and both parties for four years, which hindered his effectiveness. And I'm relatively certain that if Russia had demanded that Ukraine not be admitted to NATO, and a guarantee that no missiles would be stationed there that could hit Moscow, the Trump admin would not have responded by escalating with wargames designed to simulate an attack on Russia. He would have done, I don't know what, but something not mind-meltingly stupid. Underneath Trump's public persona was a deadly serious person who didn't treat reality like it was a made-for-Netflix movie plot, and I miss that.

I believe very much the Russiagate narrative was deployed not only to cause a shit ton of domestic drama but also to box trump in when dealing with Russia.

Allegedly the 40 mile convoy hell marching down to Keeeeev has stalled out. Ran outta gas :story:

Only seeing this in the lugenpresse so grain of salt but if true it would be about the most Russian thing ever
Just pour some vodka down the pipes and she'll be right as rain, Russian equipment like the Russians themselves operate more smoothly with higher quantities of vodka in their system, it is known.

This is BBC Pidgin, right? I don't have a gay bone in my body but I would suck every dick in a 26 mile radius to get that job if it pays well. Imagine getting paid for what is basically trolling.
Yep. Pidgin is what you get when you force a bunch of people to speak English without ever bothering to actually teach them the language.

Just spoke with a Ukrainian immigrant I'm acquainted with for the first time since this all started. Her parents (and her) are Kiev natives. Apparently her parents are refusing to leave because her 70s year old father is the super at one of the residential tower blocks there and doesn't feel like he can just abandon it to not having anyone servicing it. Like I get the spirit and feeling of duty and all but that tower block is going to need more than a vacuum and lick of paint by the end of this.
Jesus that old man is going to get killed if he doesn't shelter himself.

You ever see that British nuclear war movie Threads? Towards the end, they show that people can no longer speak fluent English because of the lack of an education system.

To think all that is happening without the bombs falling....

One thing I just realized when thinking about the Reddit Warriors is how do they plan on communicating? Apparently from the numbers I could find only 18% of the Ukranian population can speak English and how many of them can actually speak it well? Who knows. How do these retards expect to be part of a military unit when there's a strong chance they can't even communicate with the other soldiers? Or do they think they will just be able to go rogue and solo like this is fucking Call of Duty.

When are they going to do videogames about this?

GSC game world might do one, I hope.
They already made one in 2007, and an expansion pack in 2009. There's a mod expanding to modern times, where you get to command aircraft and SAM batteries in Korea as well. It's a fair game though, not a simulation, so each US/NATO unit has an almost identical Soviet counterpart, just with a different model and different special attack.

AHahah, yeah, go fight an army with hashtags.

No one is forcing anyone, there are plenty of ways to run away to avoid conflict.
I've already posted how official absolutely failed to evacuate Kyiv, Mariupol and other cities, because they want more civilian deaths to cry about. Not to mention, that battalions actually stop civilians from leaving so they could use them as a meat shield.

No one is holding anyone at gun point to fight.
Yeah, military can surrender any minute and no one is going to shoot at their backs or shell their positions afterwards. It's not like sometimes they are written as KIA even before anything is confirmed.

Embarrassing. But entertaining nothenless

There are foreign Brigades who can get them up to speed and they will be included in them.

Lol well I'm more talking about bug men here in the west shiting up Russian social media. These mother fuckers will happily call for the extermination of an ethnic group if blue checks on twatter say it's okay.
A common combo on Twitter is the Ukie flag and #kindness. These bug (wo)men are never kind. Are these bug things high spec Putinbots designed to make people back Russia? They really can be loathsome.

Horrible conversation with the deputy mayor of Mariupol. Says residential areas heavily bombed, including his father's neighbourhood. "The situation is awful, we are near to a humanitarian catastrophe. We have been under more than 15 hours of continuous shelling without pause."

“One district of the city is nearly totally destroyed ... We cannot count the number of victims there but we believe at least hundreds of people are dead. We cannot go in to retrieve the bodies. My father lives there, I cannot reach him, I don't know if he is alive or dead."

“The Russian forces are several kilometres away on all sides. The Ukrainian army is brave and they will continue to defend the city, but Russia does not fight with their army, they just destroy districts. “We believe in our Ukrainian army, but we are in a terrible situation.”

Mariupol is going to get Grozy'd.
And soon other cities will follow their example. That's a thing nobody wants but it will happen if the "all-in" order was issued.
Apparently, it was.

40 mile convoy consisting of a significant number of gas trucks runs out of gas. Sus.
Amogus. UA Edition.

It amazes me that it took only like 3 days for people to go from just supporting Ukraine to
"REEEEEEE BULLY ALL RUSKIES, DAT WILL SHOW LE HECKIN EVIL PUTINERINO!!!!!!!!!"

By the end of next week somewhere in the West there will be Kristallnacht directed towards Russians, I'm calling it now.
Wait a minute.....i've seen this before.....

Same energy

You don't need to speak the local language to get a shovel put in your hand and then you're pointed to the half dug anti tank ditch

Or to get a rifle put in your hand and then you're pointed in the direction that you and the rest of operation leddit meat shield - wait I mean operation leddit cannon fodder wait I mean operation this is just like when the Avengers saved that city in age of ultron - is to advance

If I were some Ukrainian colonel I'd put any ledditors right into the 2022 version of a penal battalion and send em in wherever the fire needed smothered by a pile of bodies the most, a fine Slavic tradition
