Personally, I think that punishing Lauren for pirating media (or at least showing he did so on stream) was a smart move. It's not too much of a logic leap for some fans: If the talent is fine with piracy, when they release something like a voice pack or a digital concert, what's wrong with pirating that too?
Yeah, that's it exactly. I was just gonna post the same. This is a company that frequently publishes digital media that they expect people to pay for. To tolerate one of their employees pirating media from another company wouldn't be a good look. Thus, to the corp, the "pirated" part is more shameful than the "porn" part (though that part is certainly embarrassing).

Imagine if the Internet found out that Adobe employees were pirating copies of Windows and the managers were looking the other way.

Truly devilish. Also here's the full image.

I feel amused by Lauren. Imagine busting your nut to some pirated jav right before stream not knowing the girl you just masturbated to will learn of it & mock you on public media within the day.

I see a lot of posts on how streamers should be safe and I'd say the best way for them is simple; a virtual machine. Not a second profile on your PC or anything.

Doesn't a virtual machine effectively give you less RAM? I don't think it's a tall order to just not be a dumbass and stream more carefully.

Probably too complicated for most of them. Also probably more complicated when it related to GPU.

Just make a different account in one computer.

Virtual machines aren't perfect and may have quite a bit of problems with whatever software they are using to stream plus games, you're suggesting a very technical solution when clearly most vtubers are barely computer literate.

This is the exact reason you name your porn files something dumb and unrelated like, "Wholesome Memes_01" to save yourself the embarrassment from misclicks. It's really funny he just had it out there, it's like he was begging to get caught with his pants down.
Or slap em on your 6TB External drive and remove it before you start your stream day.

Seriously. Could you imagine someone with Rushia's level of technology illiteracy trying to mess with a virtual machine? At a minimum, it should be seperate Windows logins. And preferably, totally separate work/home workstations. Hell, even Chromebooks are cheap nowadays.

Mumei was talking about her computer the other day, and said the reason she hadn't tried to do GTA5 was that her computer only had 16GB of RAM. Chat claimed that should be more than enough, to which she replied that it was plenty to run the game, but not enough to run the game AND the stream AND everything else that needs to be going on in the background. So trying to add a virtual machine on top of all of that seems like a bad idea even on a Beef PC™️.

I get the impression that most of the holos have a decent sense of how things run under normal circumstances, but if there's a problem then they have to hope they can get Ame or Botan on the line.

He says he learned other languages so he could interact with friends, so his speaking and listening for Korean and Thai is very good, but reading and writing not so much.

His roommate is seemingly an expat that was living in Thailand, as they appear a lot in Beam Sensei's videos like this one (feel free to archive). Learning English could have just been a symptom of musical taste or whatever. No immediate reason to believe Yugo is hafu.
Latest rrat in vt is that it's Noor, but I think it's a bit too far-fetched

It's already been confirmed that it's Masae. Lead singer of the Thai indie rock band 'StarBox'. She is Japanese-Korean.

Though Noor is very likely one of NijiEN's staff after Uki's leaked debut. Makes sense given that she applied to be staff in the first place.

this. Wanna see how this feels on generally built gaming/work systems? Go ahead, download a emulator or just load up a game that at least has some kind of 3D rendering, run OBS to stream. Chugging along? Cool. I'm not sure how Cover runs their L2D app but I'm sure its either on the phone devices they send out/have talents install on but you can try with FaceRig. We really slowing down now? Good, now let's pull up the browser of your choice, gotta have your chat and/or stream/channel dashboard up. You hear that? That's the sound of your system choking itself out.

It's kinda the reason why streamers or content creators run a double PC setup, one does the heavy lifting of gaming, the other of video capture, rendering and blasting it off to your stream channel. Some CCs run the single I-play-and-I-render setup because 1) the system is up to the task of recording and a game running 2) they do their rendering after they're done recording.

To add. since the current flavor game to stream is the vampire game. Notice how the game goes from oh pixel graphics to straight up pixel vomit? That's the bitrate or something not being able to keep up. I bet if it was just recording locally, it would be half decent (a mish mash of pixel graphics and pixel vomit) but because streaming, bitrate, bla bla bla, it looks horrible on stream

EDIT: essentially, if not BEEF pc you may or may not have your PC end up like this
