I can generally get behind your point about civilian casualties, and it looks like in the past 24 hours Russia has begun to swing on that. I expect we'll see them get a pasting over the weekend.
I don't really buy your argument about the cities, though. I agree that Kiev isn't the only place Russia needs to occupy but it is the most prominent failure. I think you argument would hold more water if they had captured _any_ of the big cities. I could forgive slow progress on some, but it's a week in and - unless something has changed in the past hour - they haven't taken any of the major cities. Kharkov, 20mi from the border hasn't gone, nor has Mariupol.

I have no idea what their possibly vodka fuelled plan is, but I don't think they're going to start slaughtering civilians (unless there's some kind of shocking breakdown of discipline) and it's pretty obvious they don't want to. Ironically this would be much easier for them if they were the evil Commie-Nazi murderous horde the MSM says they are.

Can't even tell if their tactics are retarded or genius, because we won't know until the war ends.

The F 4 is also a good option to keep running just because of the sheer amount of bombs it can carry. It may not be great for air to air anymore, but it makes a decent ground pounder.

It's not unheard of. Russia and the US actually had a few dogfights during the cold war that were swept under the rug. But this is clown/hell world. Who knows what shooting a couple looters gypsies will set into motion?

Isn't this what Russia was saying all along though? I personally don't believe it, I still maintain that Russia is planning a full annexation and this is just fabricating another pretext for the Russians to go further as the Ukrainians to refuse their most 'generous peace offer'. But if this is actually their intention, that would just confirm that the Russians were honest all along about merely wanting Ukraine out of NATO as well as the protection of ethnic Russians and denazification.
