I've talked to people from the west who are seriously talking no fly zones and war, and it seems a few stupid "Adults" and """Experts""" on twitter are entertaining this idea.

Good luck with that. I don't think your picket sign is going to matter when the shockwave rips your body into giblets. What threat does protesting pose to those in power that trumps nuclear annihilation? I doubt you are working with anything greater than that. If the people in charge want a nuclear holocaust that's happening whether or not you go protest in the streets and tell them it hurts your fuckin feelings.

Want to do something productive? Spend time with your family. Forget about all the theater going on right now and enjoy the time you have with the people you love.

Yeah, I've run into this a few times. People from countries we're allied with demanding I answer why the United States won't impose this or do that to help them out. And my answer's always the same.
One enemy at a time.
If they will accept the fact that we'll help out when our interests align, that's wonderful! We want to help and they want help, it's all good. If they want to dictate what our interests should be, then it's no longer a friendly relationship. It's a beggar demanding that you give them your home. It's something you can, and should, ignore, and I think it'd be good for the people thinking this way to take a step back and remember that we don't exist for their benefit. This sucks. It really does. But if you can't accept that we're doing all we can, then I don't want us to do anything more. If they want to turn us into an enemy, then sure, I just don't think that'll actually help them out too much.

So I watched the Lazerpig vid someone posted about his copium disguised as analysis and here are my brief thoughts

1. He uses a map from day fucking 1/2 about how the Russians are supposed stuck TODAY and only advanced on Kiev from one direction when the city has been surrounded and choked off from the outside world for several days now

2. He compares Russia's initial strikes of cruise missiles and airpower to the Gulf War, when you are talking about a number of aircraft that is an order of magnitude larger than the roughly 300 combat planes Russia had in the area. He also ignored that with the exception of power plants and civilian used infrastructure the Russians did do exactly what he said the Gulf War campaign did.

Just like the coalition, they hit Radar Stations and Airfields first, then comm stations and communication lines and pretty much grounded whatever remained of the Ukrainian air force for days. The UAF was so non-existent that one of the UAFs only flying planes on day 2 was shot down by Kiev's own air defenses, they ASSUMED it was Russian. That's how dominant Russian air power over Ukraine is.

3. He seems to 100% believe Ukrainian casualty numbers in the video without question, including and most importantly (to his channel, which is about tanks) tanks and armored vehicles destroyed. This isn't even worth discussing.

4. In the comments, people are saying that the Russian MBT's not being able to take direct hits from modern AT weapons means they are junk..............ok, so just like the Merkava Tanks taken out by Russian Kornet Missiles in Lebanon in 2006? Or American and American supplied Abrams tanks blown up by IED's or taken out by modern AT weapons in Iraq, Yemen and the Sinai?

No tank save the Challenger II can survive a hit from modern ATGM's, this has been proven over and over again. American supplied Abrams tanks have been blown up just as easily by Yemeni and Iraqi Militia armed with similar weapons.

TL;DR Its copium.

because of the cultural barrier is hard to measure how big is opposition to Putin regime on there, it makes me genuinely wonder if they just absolutely hate Putin's guts or if he's actually seen as a genuine good leader
