They didn't drop them specifically on the shipyards because they couldn't. Bomber accuracy was horrible in WW2. Even the US, which probably had the most accurate bombers in the world by the end of war, was only able to get around 15% of their bombs to fall within 1000 feet of their intended target. Most bombs went wildly off course. That's why most of the belligerents engaged in carpet-bombing rather than trying to hit specific objectives.
And the Americans pretended they only hit military targets by bombing during the day.

The biggest issue will be if his soft stance on ukrainefugees will alienate his voters or not.
give me a quick rundown on hungarian/ukrainian relations and attitudes
i know there is/was territorial dispute, do hungarians value this highly in current year or does nobody care? also is there history of ethnic conflict between magyars and ukies?

The telegram channel I saw it on claimed the driver survived but the passenger died.

Agree there's something off about the video that I can't put my finger on. I saw one point made that apparently the snow has melted at this point in Mariupol and that the car having a DNR registration is also sus
52 second mark. Two dead bodies lying face down in the white snow and almost no blood anywhere lol. Yes they've been shot in the head but all we get is a tiny trickle of ketchup on one of the 'bodies'. Yes that's how bullets work.

I've no idea if there should be snow or not or license plates but that shit looked and was set up just like a scene from a found footage movie.

There's so much fake bullshit being pumped out just now that I refuse to believe anything that's being reported. Assume all of it's bullshit and wait til the war is over to maybe figure out what actually happened.

And you got the secret Russian plans directly from Kremlin I presume?
To be fair to him, I am quite convinced that Russia was indeed aiming for a quick win from Day 1 to 3. Maybe as late as Day 5.

Consider this:
- Russia's initial advance has been very rapid, very uncoordinated, driving towards specific objectives with not much by way of support as if they were expecting a quick win.
- Initial strikes were on military installations only, and seemed to be focused on knocking out the leadership.
- The ROE during the honeymoon period were very tight, and little or no artillery were employed. Probably for optics.
- The Russians were very quick to propose negotiations, as if expecting Zelensky to capitulate.
- Only 30% of the arrayed forces were deployed.

The shift towards general warfare is quite apparent now, as Moscow rolls in all the materiel they built up, shelling the stubborn urban centres that they do not surrender, and now employing a more methodical approach to tighten their grasp on the country.

The gloves are off, as they say, and we will see many lives lost ere the war ends.

Ok, let's say Putin goes all in and declares total war. He mobilize the entire army, organized the civilian workforce, and commandeers factories to repurpose them for war goods. At the end, his grand prize for doing so is... (Drumroll).... an insignificant eastern European country that will be more of a burden to keep than whatever worth he can milk from it. He would be truly mad to do that.

He also gains control of the entire northern coast of the Black Sea and pushes the front NATO could launch an invasion from back. The latter may sound dumb, but Russian paranoia is real, and our war games simulating an attack on the Russian Army did nothing to mitigate that.

oh shit, biden, PLEASE.. try to sanction a country with 1.5 billion people. See how the fuck that plays out, i'm sure that totally won't backfire on you.

To be fair, major companies in India are subcontractors to US companies. Not going to pl, but most tech companies have Indians do the grunt work because it’s cheaper. If the major tech companies start to bitch because they can’t renew their contracts, it could force the government’s hand.

I just realized that the background for the setting in Disco Elysium is basically Ukraine.

"Events in the game take place in the poverty-plagued district of Martinaise within the city of Revachol on the isola of Insulinde. Forty-nine years before the events of the game, a wave of communist revolutions swept multiple countries; the sclerotic monarchy of Revachol, which up to that point had been a powerful kingdom with colonies across Elysium, was overthrown and replaced by a commune. Six years later, the Revachol commune was toppled by an invading alliance of moralist-capitalist nations called "the Coalition". Revachol has since been designated a Special Administrative Region under the Coalition, which holds a strong grip over the city's local economy and keeps its autonomy at a minimum."

Time to get so drunk I forget everything.

It amazing how slow the war is on msm even with all the misinfo, disinfo, commentary, happenings etc compared to the covid coverage. It is like slow news day and the farms is way ahead with commentary and insight. I have seen a random sports forum website ahead of uk news and I fully expect mumsnet to be ahead.
It is clear there are different agendas at play and alot of covid news was made up to keep the fear going. Hopefully other people can see this.
It is all rather odd as compared to this war and the potential for a long running shit show involving several countries and, god forbid, a nuclear event, covid was and is not much to be scared about at all. In comparison; covid is as you americans say, a nothing burger.

It is a peculiar war for modern times. I never thought a fucking huge convoy would sit still for several days, out in the open, and it not get taken to pieces and with basic ham radio kit one could follow, and interrupt, the comms of a whole fucking super-power army. Wonder if the russian convoy outside Kiev will outlast the canadian truckers.
It does go to show that both sides are able to through bits of metal at each other and hopefully some bits hit legitimate targets, but both sides are as disorganised and lacking in capability as each other.

Also....these russian tanks and apc's come apart like they are made of metal sheet that has been zip-tied together. Fuck would i go to war in one of them. In Challenger you felt vulnerable enough and with the anti-tank weaponry that exists you pretty much are, very vulnerable, but these russian vehicles are next level rubbish.

It's off topic, but the accent within the voice acting and the general naming sense makes more sense that it was based on a declining french monarchy, or the late second empire.
