Or simply, one is not ashamed of it. Like, neither proud nor ashamed. It just is what it is, but yea, continuing certain traditions and being part of a community could count as being proud of it. But, yea, I wouldn’t blame people who have family in the Ukraine for wanting to do something.

I was in for a bit and you are 100% correct. When active the younger guys tend not to be married and are more than happy to go off to war (money is good and you spend all day training and are naively curious). Once I got out it’s tempting to go contractor route but that’s a fucking gamble. Don’t have assets and don’t know who working beside.

In the case of Ukraine, you have no fucking clue who you are working with. It’s why you are hearing of ex-special forces making their own teams or vets getting together. Nobody wants to fight beside an unknown, let alone someone who has no experience or possibly doesn’t speak same language. That is not even getting into fact fighting for foreign country that most people can’t find on a map.

These Reddit retards are in for a rude awakening if get balls enough to actually go

If that one "feminist lawyer" who ran the sign-up site is credible, they got about 500 people with actual combat experience either signing up or already heading over. Then she got bombarded by thousands of idiots like this asking how they could "help". I think she went viral for donating airline miles to get one of them over.

It's possible this started as a small group of actual useful people, it got some attention, then the whole stupid site piled in with their usual stupidity and tranny moderation demands. Kind of like what happened to /r/WallStreetBets after the Gamestop stock thing, they quadrupled in size in a week.
