It was not until he said what he said at AFPAC that it became the big shocking headline, as I had predicted. Of course the media seized on it because it was something tangible that more mainstream conservatives could sink their teeth into as something to condemn; it's a much easier sell than the ad nauseum accusations of racism, which Homan rightly points to. And so that's what Homan did, pivoting towards the invasion outrage angle, despite it occurring after his departure.
