WHAT IF Ukraine's leader knew all about Russia planning to invade, was sort of okay with it, but wanted to benefit? So he put up this resistance knowing full well that Russia can smoosh Ukraine and none of the other countries will officially help.

Put out lots of heroic, yet poor-me type social media posts. Get lots of donations of money, food, supplies, weapons.

Russians roll in, token fight is made, sure some people die but more are being born all the time, it'll even out eventually.

Russia takes control like it was always going to and Ukraine get to keep all the donated stuff.

Lol, if/when Ukraine ends up losing and ends up being completely annexed or puppeted, those NATO supplies are gonna get cancelled real quick, Russia invaded so cleaning up the mess they left behind will be their problem.
