• The Belarusian 38th Guards Air Assault Brigade positions itself on the Ukrainian border, north of Volyn Oblast, with the aim of fencing off the border between Ukraine and the European Union
• The Russian army is about to control 25% of Ukraine's electricity with the seizure of Energodar
• The Ukrainian population is adapting to the Russian presence in the conquered territories, opposition, when it arises, is limited and peaceful

Northern axis (Lutsk / Lviv)
The 38th Belarusian air assault brigade is said to be in position facing the Ukrainian border. Its movements towards the border were already mentioned several days ago.

It is the Belarusian paratroopers.




A Belarusian military convoy was observed moving towards the Ukrainian border (location unknown).

This operation does not seem to be part of the original plan. The logical objective of this manoeuvre is to close the border between Ukraine and the EU, certainly following the announcements of arms deliveries by the US and the EU. It is also to stop the influx of foreign volunteers - many of them professional soldiers secretly sent by their governments - called in by Zelensky.

For the Russian armed forces, a constant flow of weapons, especially anti-aircraft weapons, is intolerable given its political objectives in Ukraine.

Southern axis (Odessa / Zaporizhia / Mariupol)
The Russian offensive in southern Ukraine is divided into three movements: east (Mariupol / Donbass), north (Zaporizhia) and west (Odessa).

Movement towards Zaporizhia
The fighting is focused around Ernegodar where the largest nuclear power plant in Europe is located. The objective of the Russian general staff is to gain control of the energy supply in the south of the country, with the aim of pushing the civil administration to accept the political transition.

Despite rumours of Russian attacks on the plant, the exchanges of fire took place outside the plant's perimeter.

However, it is in the interest of the Zelensky government to spread such rumours to scare international opinion and demonise the Russian army.

The plant was finally captured by Russian forces today.



Movement towards the Donbass
Mariupol is besieged and held under constant artillery fire by the Russian army. A general assault has not yet been decided.



The most interesting movement was to the north of the Donbass front.

After breaking through the Ukrainian front west of Sievierodonetsk, Russian forces outflanked Zelensky's units before undertaking an enveloping manoeuvre towards Kramatorsk.



Predictably, the Russian General Staff wants to encircle Zelensky's forces held on the Donbass front by a junction between Russian units from the north and those from Crimea, currently located in the Zaporizhia region.

The encirclement and destruction of Ukrainian units in the Donbass would precipitate the fall of the whole of Ukraine. The liberated Russian units could then quickly take Dnepro, cross the Dnieper and rush towards Vinnitsa.
