I'm not saying Putin is this but I much prefer a benevolent (or semi-benevolent) dictator over a globohomo Democratically Elected™ figurehead who is controlled by a network of handlers who are controlled by a complex and secretive deep state apparatus who are lead by unelected no-names who report to shadowy central bankers and nameless special interests. Just saying.

To me, some weird husk of a human who literally doesn't have an original thought in his head and acts as a vessel for Biblical evil - such as Justin Trudeau - is far more scary than someone like Donald Trump who, although egotistical and selfish, had a vested interest in making his country prosperous (because of his ego).

2016/2017 Trump though. Not after he gave up half-way through his term. You get the idea though.

When we had Kings, they were incentivized to be great because if they weren't they'd be dealing with constant rebellions until they were deposed. You cannot do that with the modern Western system, you can only cope seethe and dilate as everything is stolen from you for eternity.

Taiwan is an island with a developed economy defended by the US Navy and their own military assets. The PLA navy has one refitted Soviet carrier, two small aircraft carriers and one under construction., plus their subs and other surface vessels are decidedly second rate against possibly antagonists like the US. Mainland Communist ruled China is an unsinkable carrier, but PRC has not shown itself capable of power projection.

Also why destroy the prime maker of the chipsets in modern smartphones and computers?

Also PRC has a very limited record after Tibet of invading or occupying their claimed near abroad. Russia has never ceased doing it under Putin. Ukraine is just on a far bigger scale. Finally, their leaders and spokesmen are moderate in how they express themselves, compared to Russia. This does count more than some retired PLA general sperging in some newspaper.

An artillery or missile strike, the actions of Russian special forces or friendly fire from the same territorial defense groups, will put an end to their lives. Zelensky, calmly sniffing coke now in Poland, doesn’t care about their lives.

Probably the companies by and large in regards to the older population .
But the tech-savvy 'informed' crowd it's going to be much different, they will sympathise more with Western rhetoric. Tell me why I can't be right?
