Empty magazine wells (probably for their own safety) and two of them are holding sleeping material. The one on the far right barely has his rifle secured, but he's probably between other people as well. The one on the far left only has his rifle over his shoulder, and his other hand is occupied; knock that one over, steal his rifle, and run off.

Its the same sort of mentality as the Spanish civil war, They had gone through the first would war only about a decade ago, the horrors of drowning in mud for a few meters and you still got about 35,000 international commies decide fighting trained and equiped nationalists would be golly good fun.

And I, for one, support the modern day internationalists in their desire to follow in the footsteps of their forefathers and die horribly in somebody else's war. Maybe they can call themselves the Bernie Sanders Battalion instead of the Lincoln Battalion this time around.

Really sucks for them tho, communists back in the day at least included true working class men who toiled in mines, farms, and factories in a time when these jobs were more physically demanding and dangerous. At least these guys could be expected to have the fitness and capacity to undergo suffering that could help carry them through a warzone. Not so much these days.

My favourite thing about this whole thing is that these Redditors think that they're fighting your average right wing protestor but with guns. When they arrive at Ukraine, no one can speak English, don't want them there or try to scam.

The Redditors most likely don't know that Russians have to do obligated community or military service when they reach a certain age. Us first-worlders have it easy, when we turn 18, we just get smashed at a club but Russians are put through the field to turn their boys into men.

They can launder the wealth being funneled into the country much easier if it's NFT money than airdrop supplies. I'm not making any accusations, I'm just pointing it out. I'd also like to point out that The Ukrainian government is currently like BLM was in 2020. They're getting massive support and it's basically haram to criticize or scrutinize what they're doing.

Let me be the one to make them, then. Ukraine is a corrupt inhuman shithole, who's only worth in life was being used by US to provoke Russia, and to humor CIA which conducted the 2004 and 2014 coups in Ukraine. US gov loves Ukrainian corruption, and they will ignore it, just like they ignored it in afghanistan when their President started stealing money en masse. Plus, the Russians have spent the last 20 years or so closing the technological gap with the West. Their aircraft and missiles are state-of-the-art, and the have guided artillery shells that can reliably hit moving targets and can be fired from a howitzer.

Meanwhile, the foreign will be handed and old AKM they pulled out of storage shoved into a motorized infantry unit, if they're lucky. They'll have a ZPU mounted on a pickup truck for direct fire support, and a gun mortar if they're lucky. The TDF is about as well-equipped as an African militia.
