It's not that the lawsuit was so similar to Vic's... it's that the people making the false accusations were operating from the same playbook as the people who falsely accused Vic.

But in general if you're anything remotely like a public figure you have to plead that the defendants are malicious liars who knew what they were saying was false and deliberately said it with the intent of it harming you, and then you have to prove harm actually occurred to collect.

Since you have to plead what is usually pretty atrocious conduct to collect as a celebrity, defamation complaints from such people are remarkably similar in tone and content.
