General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Thinking someone can't be a lesbian because they've had a boyfriend is absurd. Thousands of homosexuals enter hetero relationships to not be found out, and especially teenagers/young adults experiment a lot. So Matsuri having been dicked down by some ex while she attended middle school or high school doesn't disqualify her. Girls can have sex with anyone for ulterior motives, its why gold diggers are a thing. Or do you really think Melania Trump is attracted to Trump?

AYAME ❤❤❤ AYAME ❤❤❤

And Laplus I guess lmao.
No way Ayame will quit. And no way she cares enough about Ayame/Hololive to do a Rushia and fuck up either. She's found the golden ratio where she hardly has to stream yet makes more money than most people on the planet, why would she give it up?
Karen also confirmed she has ADHD in this stream.
Out of all the HoloEN members she wasn't one I expected to have it, interesting.
Not really too surprised by this myself. People with ADHD often overwork themselves because they can't stop once they start hyperfocusing. Plus she's very good at acting before she thinks things through. That said, I still would put actual money on Mumei & Suisei having it.
I get the distinct feeling that Sana just doesn't care. I think she got the idea to even apply from her best buddy Ina, and now that she got in, she's like "yeah, okay...I'm in" and that's it. Takes a month off to mourn a pet, craters her subs, still doesn't seem too broken up about it even after YouTube has repeatedly hamstrung her account. Supposedly she is an amazing artist on par with Ina, but I'll be damned if I can recall her ever showing her true power level like Ina does with her art streams. She could recover, I just get the feeling she either doesn't want to put in the effort, or it's a side hustle to her and she's simply too busy with a real job.
Yeah, I agree. There's no doubt in my mind that Sana can turn it around. Sakura Miko was a dying channel with hardly any views until she played GTA 5 and became an instant meme. Akirose had a second coming with Ark content as well. That said, Sana's character design is easily the worst in Hololive. If I was her and I saw "Sana" for the first time I would have broken down and cried. It's a color explosion of eye gore, her face looks weird and the dango in her hair is awful. Throwback to when she said she was super intro astrology and would do weekly horoscopes, by the way. She got 7 episodes out then quit. I'm pretty sure that was something Cover asked her to do cause Space. Never mentioned anything about that on her roommate's account, at least.

I'll be honest, I want to watch and enjoy Sana. I love her voice and I enjoy sweaty gaming the most. Look up guides, play on hard difficulties, cheese strats. But her model is very off-putting to me.

As for Holostars, I hope we get some proper retards in. I want them to showcase their favorite anime in a 3x3 instead of just listing a few shows they enjoy. I want them to talk, at length, about anime, manga and LN. I want watch parties with them for various shows and just, a lot less idol focus, a lot more game focus.
Then again, that's also what I want for any upcoming new English hologirl.

Lastly, with the merging of Nijisanji ID and Nijisanji KR and a lot of graduations, I am once more hoping for Hana to apply to Nijisanji EN, Holo EN or even Holo ID. She deserves far more viewers and subscribers than what she currently has, but NijiID is the most stagnant and well, dead branch of vtubers with her being the only one over 100k.
Hey depressed nousagi I know you lurk this thread. Why don't you make a video on how Hana Macchia has 250k+ subscribers yet noone else in the ID branch have hit 100k? If you do, remember she doesn't want too much focus on her dad.

Nice. Looking forward to her streams.

Not quite tit for tat.

If you check SanaCam-001 here, you can see that, even in a branch who has almost unilaterally suffered their worst ever months in terms of growth, Sana is something else. She has gained only 9K subs in the last month.

Ayame is different because Gen 2 were not projected to be soaring the way they are now when they debuted. In fact, Ayame's last 5 months or so of doing basically fuck all has failed to fall below the ceiling of her growth during the first year or so of activity.

In other words, one has taken a spot in the hotly-anticipated EN2 and tanked her momentum, whilst the other is still to this day doing better doing nothing than she was when she started out — essentially riding the wave of her success.

It's not something Sana can't recover from, though. Here is Pomu's monthly sub growth, who took a month off until mid-August to recover from surgery, and struggled in the following months to regain momentum. Channels DO heal and recover with enough work ethic.

Penny for Kiara's thoughts, though, as a completely MIA Sana almost matched her sub growth last month (10K).
Comparing Sana and Ayame I was doing so more related to people being mad at them for having a golden ticket and basically letting it go to waste for the most part.

Since it's already Irys' birthday: what happened to her new year outfit, shouldn't it be about time it was ready? I mean the new year is over but I don't hope they are planning to release it 2023.
Small indie company pls understand
Guessing they will save it for a 2.0 upgrade or something. I still dislike her avatar even though she has a cute smile. I wonder why Hololive doesn't have more artists working for them in a non-talent role. Sure they have a handful of artists they work directly with.

Also, your opsec better be impeccable.
Where is the fun in that? Hell part of the fun of this thread is finding out who's roommate sad "X" or "Y" slur and then seeing Twitter normies finally find out and try to start drama over it.

Cow has been spamming this game hard. Started work and she was streaming. Ended work and she is still streaming.

Honestly I don't give a crap about holostars. I don't watch any of the JP and I don't really have any plans to watch EN whenever they debut. I also don't watch any of the Niji guys either. BUT I want to normalize the girls interacting with males and that it is OK. I don't have any problems if they wanted to collab or whatever with them. I really hope it will weed out the idol-type fans who are toxic to vtubers and give it such a bad stigma, especially it seems on the hololive side. And hey maybe the guys will be interesting and it'll be a bonus.

One thing that I was hoping would come out of the Rushia debacle was that some of them would come out and support her by revealing that they also have boyfriends (or some kind of partner anyway), and maybe it would go some way towards making progress in that regard. But then she got fired and there wasn't really any point, so it was just business as usual from there.
That sounds like tribalism. Idolfags are not the schizos you hate. Schizos are just schizos. Look back to Deluxe's post about what an idolfag and oshi actually mean.

Also, your other point is just concernfagging that I hear a lot. The girls aren't prohibited, most of them don't want to. Aki, Towa, FBK and Matsuri collab with guys and yet no one cares. Matsuri gets backlash for being a retarded mental girl who kills her content production by chasing Apex. Not really for collabing with males. Rushia's biggest whales who were all idolfags in the span of a week came back and were waiting to support her, even saying as such on Twitter.

I get you and others care, but you're doing it wrong and it's devolved to as much tribalism as Niji vs. Hololive. Which part of this is wrapped up in.

Edit: You do realize most of the JP causing problems for Hololivers are not even their fans? It's retards from JP image boards that flame and harass them.

im honestly almost unhealthily-curious to see how much schizophrenia gets posted on the closest JP equivalents to /vt/
Words FAIL to describe it. I can not INVENT the words required to scrape it. Imagine every bit of autism DRUNK on self-delusion possible and you will not even approach a fraction of JP schizos. You'll fucking die of an aneurysm trying to define it.

Is it possible to have even a smidge of the worst you've seen or is it so schizo you dont even want to even look for it lmao

Small future related note: I'm aware holotalk with Noel is Sat, if it a good EP, You know what to expect already.
I expect questions about hamster balls.

Even NijiEN had a tonal shift when Luxiem debuted, and while I'm not a schizo that thinks the branch became an unwatchable travesty because my favourites collab with men, it's definitely a different atmosphere. Is such a shift in culture something worth Cover risking?
About the fans, i think the girls already cemented their own fanbases about what content they want and with whom to relate, Calli & Bae fanbases already expect a male collab because they already have been used to it thanks to them.
Fair points. That's exactly what's been tossing around in my head for a while, that the gachikoi/unicorn problem is steeped in expectations.

Imagine a streamer that has no apparent opposite-gender contact, not even online-only collabs, for like 2 years. That element is going to fester in their fandom, even if they're not intentionally cultivating it. Then if they suddenly start opposite-gender collabs (or worse, leak the existence of an IRL bf/gf), the rotten element will surface fast and harsh.

Comparatively, like you said, setting expectations early on gives an opportunity for the more deranged parasocial-prone fans to move on before getting attached in the first place. And yeah, Bae's a good example, they can't get pissed at her for collabing with Holostars when she basically spelled it out right in her debut.

In other words... just don't give them a chance to get entrenched in their delusions.

(Maybe this is obvious to the point that it didn't need to be said, just thinking out loud I guess.)

Indulge me, old Man, what Memes have you brought to the world?
Made well-renowned music a few decades ago, single-handedly started memes we wouldn't believe? Watch your tone, man, you're probably not talking to Rick Astley himself!

Kiara finally gave up number fagging and realized having 1.3+ million subs and 3-7k regular live viewers is more than enough. Let's not encourage a return.
Also the fact that no other Hololive member has close to the relationship Kiara has cultivated with KFP. She might not have the biggest fanbase around, but her KFP support her more than any other group does for their oshi within Hololive.
And I hope she recognizes that. There's a reason why she's consistently top 3 EN superchat earners. And its not the fact she's the only girl streaming in prime EU hours.

Random Viewer: Maybe you should give up
Ina: Maybe you should give up watching my stream. Never give up, Never surrender!

What a legend.
During the Vampire Survivors stream, one guy said her build was awful, her reply was along the lines of "You know what else is awful? Think about it and come back."
I like "fuck around and find out" Ina.

The latter, but fuck it, prepare for your soul to die.

Miko has a fear of men due to the harassment she got on NND as a kid. Korone has been chased for years by antis. They would dislike bomb Aqua's videos back like 1-2 years ago because they knew it affected her. They started the Holocaust because they pieced together a stream from then at the time 6 months ago was Mio recording Ghost Trick on an emulator. Starting the mass privatization and deletion of past content. They've tried to spread any mistake or fuck up a Hololive talent has made to the general news. Lamy got harassed for "talking down to janitors" because of a quote they took out of context.

These are not the end, listen, we farmers here just record autistics and retards for fun. These fuckers would run barrels of oil through Rome to help spread the fire for shits n' gigs.

“Reveal they also have boyfriend” Holo Council stagnant grow probably attribute to that because their roommates are more normie and have a life with men women relationship (2/5 roommates confirmed dox has BF and they still cause those gachikois seething til this day).

I think Council is the most as realistic as you can get in term of popularity of streamers having relationship in their personal life.

Most HoloJPs probably consider how their top donor buy into their GFE persona hence they can’t even interact with male and with Rushia fall from grace, it will make them put even more distant with penis havers.

It will be interesting on what kind of bros we will have for StarsEN imagine we have a full ex esport line up. Back in 2010s when esport was at their heyday with prominent male streamers, we have all short of popular type to emulate if play their cards correctly.

I joined membership to Ame, Ina and Kiara at around the the same time.

Kiara's membership streams are very sweet and she makes a point get to know the members, to a point where she worries about them if they have a bad day or vanish for a while. It took a long time for me to like her. She's a lot to handle listening to for hours on end, and like others I thought KFP was really cringe ( I still do) but she's quite the character, and I appreciate how much shit she has gotten through and came out relatively fine. Most weebs who drop out of school and run away to Japan end badly, but she got through it. When she brought her Mom onto to talk, you could hear pride; like she saw her daughter was going to be alright.

Ina's naturally the comfiest but she's very much a professional. I like that she has laid down the law about trying to develop a parasocial relationship with her. Her past life as a Vtuber helped a lot. It's nice to see her relatively more relaxed in members. Not as close as Kiara but it's still nice.

Ame is very hit and miss. I like all the updates she provides, but the members content feels kind of put upon her.
