Can anyone reach https://www.rt.com/ at the moment?
The Website is unreachable from Germany, but DNS still resolves.
Trying with different Tor exit nodes doesn't help.

Is this the Ukrainian programming socks brigade at work?

I meant it exactly not how you put it. We only heard of a contract (may be LARP, may not be), but not how those volunteers are (to be) deployed or if they are given uniforms etc.
So mercenary treatment is still on the table IMHO.

Zelensky is sperging at NATO, he is pissed that we won't enforce a no-fly zone:

Based Zelensky calling NATO weak, lel. Sorry but we ain't risking nuclear war with Russia over Ukraine. Just be happy you got all those stingers, migs and another AA missiles/fighter jets from us for free.

Enforce your own damn NFZ. :cunningpepe:
Maybe it's time for actual fee for provided military aid and reconsidering sending any to ukies, deliver these sweet nipple hardening Javelins to their sane brothephs in Belorussia.
Doubt Batzka will be unwilling to get some for himseld. :smug:

Everyone claiming the Russians military is outdated clearly hasn't played enough Command & Conquer to understand Geopolitics. I got word from the Kremlin, their War Factories are now producing TIER III units. Trust me, I haven't even actually played C&C in almost 15 years.

It's still around btw. Some hero sperg bastard kept it going.

Seems like they don't have a choice. What is worrying for the Russians is stalling because the west is gonna continue cheating and rigging as much as possible, maximizing costs in both blood and economy on the Russian side.
This, Russia seriously expected to do a Barbarossa and "kick the door down and the whole rotten structure will fall", even if they do win they got embarrassed on a planning stage.

In other news, Russia edges ever closer to being Xi's special pay bitch.

So is Russia ever going to re-open the stock market or is it closed permanently like the last time this happened?
From what information came out of Russia today, They will revert back to full communism because of this and not the half-assed version they were pedaling leaving many right wing commentators in support of Russia and /pol tards left holding the red bag lol. Apparently they are not considering opening until the 9th of march which would be the longest in their countries history.

I'm really fucking done with you idiots. Syria General, Geopolitics General and /pol/ in general has rotted your fucking brains. The group think here is stupid. You are stupid. And I refuse to be a part of it. Neg rate me all you fucking want.

Right now people are being killed. They aren't being killed due to the Machinations of some Jewish plot. They aren't being killed because of globohomo. They are being killed because one man, Putin, is raging against the tide of history and instead of adapting to it he is letting his country be swept away.

This war is a fucking disgrace. On every level. The Russian Army is a disgrace. It has proven itself incapable of a land invasion on its own fucking borders. It's having to resort to WW2 total war against Gopnik gangs while ducking Turkish made drones and pretending those same Gopniks didn't just wipe out an entire brigade of air assault troops.

Worse, putin has committed Russia to a full on conventional war with a peer power without any of the respect for what that requires. The invasion of Georgia, a country 1/8th the size of Ukraine was famously messed up and assurances were made the same mistakes would not be repeated. But they ARE!

WORSE

Putin has committed to a land war in fucking February! It's still winter! And as the ground thaws the Steppe turns into a muddy swamp! You can't do conventional maneuver in this environment! You have to stick to the roads! And the roads are predictable and under constant attack! Which means you need to rely on Light Infantry, which is where Ukraine has the advantage! I didn't believe Russia would invade before at least late March for this very reason!

And I know exactly what "carpet bombing" means and that is precisely what the Russians are doing to their "compatriots" in Kharkiv. Kharkiv you see has done the unforgivable in that they refused to get out of the way. And for that they must be made to suffer. All those platitudes about common fraternity matter for NOTHING when the clock is ticking as tens of thousands of civilians are being turned into soldiers around Lviv.

TL;DR

Fuck you, and fuck putin shills. You all wanted a war and now you get what you fucking deserve.
lol, calm down.

On a more serious tone, you get how one sided you sound, right? Putin acted the way he did because he was pushed to that point. That's not excusing him, that's explaining his actions. And no, you don't get what carpet bombing means, no indication of that at all. I won't argue that Kharkiv is getting bombed to shit, but carpet bombing has a very distinct meaning. Carpet bombing is what we did to Korea. Carpet bombing was dresden.

That was never the plan, the clearly are trying to destroy the Ukraine military without the need for complete territory takeover. They want Ukraine government to surrender to legitimate the future puppet government and occupation

Why does this keep being repeated ?

I've payed attention to what was being said by the relevant parties since they first started raising the alarm over the possibility of an invasion a month ago and not only did they never give any indication they would do any more than they are currently, they specifically went out of their way to correct people who thought otherwise.

Neither NATO or the EU (any European assistance would have been unilateral in any case) was ever going to directly confront Russia militarily. The fact that we've seen unprecedented vitriol being expressed towards Russia and they still wont even gamble a no fly zone as long as it stays across the border should make that crystal clear.

If He really thought Ukraine was getting more than this (and what's been seriously proposed since the invasion) He's an idiot and the misconception is entirely on Him and His advisers.

NATO announced joint war games with Ukraine, which we called, “Exercise Cossack Mace." Rather than the traditional defensive games, they announced that these games would simulate an offensive against Donbas separatists and an attack on the Russian Army itself. This was announced in early April of last year. It's easy to understand why the President of Ukraine would think that if America said, "hey, let's practice attacking Russia together," right as Russia was building troops up on Ukraine's border, that we'd help them if Russia attacked.

Obviously, this was a naive thing to think. Zelensky's a comedian. He's new at this. At the time, he didn't realize that he was being used as a pawn for nothing more than a feint. That April '21 announcement was supposed to make Russia think we'd go to war to defend Ukraine, but ol' Vlad called our bluff. That's why since the invasion, we've been messaging hard that Russia invaded for absolutely no reason at all, and simultaneously that haha lol why would Ukraine expect us to defend them. Unlike Zelensky, Putin's been dealing with us for decades. He has our number, and knows what we'll do. And he knows we don't go to war with anyone who has SAMs.

Saturday’s statement was followed up on Sunday with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine ominously posting a video to its Facebook page, celebrating the 72nd anniversary of NATO, along with the hashtag #WeAreNATO.

For over six years, Ukraine has been mired in an ongoing civil war in eastern Ukraine between government forces and separatists that has claimed the lives of approximately 14,000, displaced 1.4 million and left 3.5 million in need of humanitarian assistance. For much of the six years, the fighting has remained at a relatively low level of persistent shelling and shootings back and forth, while avoiding a full-out war. The Ukrainian government’s recent statements and actions show that is now planning for such a scenario, and is expecting NATO backing.

Ever since Russian tanks rolled into Ukraine, we're pretending Exercise Cossack Mace didn't happen.

Pretty much my thoughts. Why couldn't putin expand within his own boarders and cut better deals with the globohomo what a faggot. War in Europe in the past 30 years is mostly rumblings and actions coming from Russia. When has any western nation tried to invade their current land let alone threaten nukes which would kill you me and the people who support him in a suicidal mess.

Nah you faggots that were Pro-Russia all thought Ukraine was gonna cave in a couple of days. Now you are coping and starting to make reasonable posts about the length of this campaign. Remember guys this wasn't an "invasion" it was a "special operation".
Quote 'em or shush.
I think the only ones who reference this being over quickly are people who say Russians thought it would be over quickly but got in over their heads and they've been saying it since day three at least.
It was funny on day one of the thread most of the Russophiles thought this would be wrapped up by Friday morning. I don't feel so good Russia Bros... (:_(
Are these Russophiles in the room with us right now?

note i jumped back to pg 900 and just walked up til I saw the first post like that, i swear

Germany castrated itself in the 1990s

West Germany and East Germany had big strong armies through the Cold War
They had big strong armies ----in---- their countries. Wasn't their armies though, West Germany had American troops and East Germany had Soviet troops. Both sides put troops and dumped money into Germany because of Cold War dick measuring.

I would argue post 90s Germany is less castrated than whatever it was during the Cold War since its one country again, exerts actual influence in Europe, and isn't merely propped up as a pawn of global superpowers.

Urea and potash. Jesus.

Ammonia. Anhydrous ammonia. That is what they are talking about when they say "fertilizer" in this context. Natural gas is the feedstock. It gets converted into hydrogen then burned over these big rhodium catalysts with air to make ammonia. It's a very common industrial process and every country with a gas surplus makes it in spades.

Nitrogen is the big deficiency in soil that needs to be reupped from time to time. That's why they run crops in cycles. The big cash crop is after you inject it into the ground (the gas ammonia bonds with water in the soil to make ammonium hydroxide that fixes it). The next couple years you are running lower value crops pulling the rest of it out. The final one you run a legume or let it rest with no crop (go fallow). This is the best way to both diversify your crops and maximize the impact of pumping nitrogen into the soil. A way to diversify and spread out the risk of certain crops failing or not being valuable or fertilizer costs/shortages.

This is how wheat/grain operations work. You aren't hauling a truck out there and dumping urea and potash imported from Russia on the field every year. That's retarded.
I didn't try to link potash to wheat, did I? If i did, that was fucking stupid. I merely mentioned that potash and urea would raise the price of food.

Pretty sure earlier in the thread there was a lot of making fun of Ukraine shills for thinking war is paced like a videogame.

The big cash crop is after you *inject it into the ground (the gas ammonia bonds with water in the soil to make ammonium hydroxide that fixes it)*.
AFAIK (solid) nitrates are more often used than (gaseous) ammonia itself (nobody's going around *injecting* ammonia gas into the ground lol) but ammonia itself is used in the production of said nitrates so you aren't completely wrong. Plants take up specifically nitrate ions (NO3-) for use.
Edit: I was wrong. Disregard.

I'm going to try, once, to point something out, and maybe try to understand you. Why is wrong to pick a historical fact and use it? We use past history to predict future actions, this is the reason history is taught, it's the reason it's studied. I'm a retarded loser, but I hope to study my own past to inform my future actions so maybe tomorrow will be better than today. I don't get in what world that could be bad.

I'm trying to understand you, i expect you to act in bad faith, because that's what you've done here in this thread, you've spin, twisted and lied. Change that and try to be honest with me, why is that bad?

You're retarded mate.

I'm not saying history doesn't teach us lessons... but the fact that they barely had telephones in the early 1900s compared to how connected we are now means there is a massive difference?

The only way to stem the flow of dissent is to cut off Russians being able to information from the outside world, which is exactly what he's gone and done by blocking Facebook and Twitter?
