One of the stages involved radio telegraphing, with contestants having to send and receive transmissions quickly using Morse code.



There was also an intellectual test - a cook-off in field conditions. This was followed, in true Russian fashion, by a beauty pageant.

The competition has been taking place every year since 2016, with the main prize being a trip around the cities of Russia’s Golden Ring. The winners, sadly, are not publicized.

I'm more irritated with the people emotionally invested in this particular conflict. It's as if they act like people stop dying, wars stop happening, and kids stop being raped the moment the news tells them nothing about it.

While everyone, including myself, does have their takes, biases and whatnot, I'd rather not have a tight grip on them. I prefer to view the whole thing as a historian would. Paying attention to details of events that all lead to this.

We can't be emotionally invested in everything. What we're witnessing is selective outrage. As human beings, we can only give a limited amount of damns in our entire lifetime. How we use those damns is entirely up to us.

Some people I know suddenly care about human rights elsewhere in the world for the meantime (due to the media convincing them), whereas these same people couldn't even give a shit about what happens to strangers within their own neighborhoods or communities. All these posturings of unity, solidarity and other similar wordings are hollow gestures. Who seriously thinks the Chinese treatment of the Uighurs whom are Muslim, would magically convince all the Muslim nations of the world to unite and take action against China? Remember, Sandniggers have always been at each other's throats long before Islam came to be. UN peacekeepers doing heinous things in areas they've been deployed to, what action is being taken? I'm sure for most of us, the people we hate the most happen to be the ones within reach. Alliances of a temporary nature are especially fragile.

It convinces me how controllable human beings can truly be. All the heinous stuff in history isn't a "what humans used to be" matter, it's what humans are capable of regardless of era.

America has spent such a comedic amount on its military that it better have a force that makes every other force on the planet look like a joke as the US alone accounts for 39% of """""""defense'""""" spending. The top five are America, China, India, Russia, and the UK. I guarantee that every non-American military would be giving a similar performance if they were fighting as large an army as Ukraine's.
