Or just euthanize this thread first, no need to be testy.

This is the single worst thread in the thunderdome.

Armchair generals, endless sperging, lack of instant gratification leading to dumb slapfights, dumb slapfights for no reason, damn ppl.

I guess in a way you've done the farms proud, this thread is the lolcow.
You have been here just long enough to know that's not true. We've had MUCH worse threads, this is just the latest in a long line of "Stupid niggers with stupid nigger opinions in a thread on the front page."

America has spent such a comedic amount on its military that it better have a force that makes every other force on the planet look like a joke as the US alone accounts for 39% of """""""defense'""""" spending. The top five are America, China, India, Russia, and the UK. I guarantee that every non-American military would be giving a similar performance if they were fighting as large an army as Ukraine's.
It's worth noting that our defense spending is tad deceptive. A good chunk of that is payroll, we pay privates what China pays officers.

One of Saddam's Generals was a redhead, he was so close to Saddam people called him the Dick Chaney of Iraq

They killed some other redheaded Iraqi in 2015 that looked like him and paraded him through the streets of Baghdad just for him to release a video 3 years later proving he was still alive.

He finally died of old age in 2020.
Circassians, from the Caucasus in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and South Russia were, and still are, sought after as wives by Arabs. Muslim men pay the girl's parents a dowry and the more white valuable the wife, the more expensive the dowry. I don't know why but Arabs always show me pictures of prospective wives and ask my opinion on their looks. Arabs girls never ask me, I guess their parents decide who they get to meet. I find it very old fashioned and strange.

I'm suprised Fox News let this guy speak.
Early on, he's right that a Neutral Ukraine would resolve the conflict. HOWEVER, considering the failures of the Minsk agreements and the war itself, that itself is an untenable position. A powerful, neutral country willing to fuck up the first one to break a ceasefire would serve as a basis for talks. No such country exists. Poland is looking for an excuse to take out Russia's military capabilities (at a minimum), China doesn't really have the force projection and isn't neutral anyways, and the US is the one that set up this situation years ago during the Ukrainian Coup of 2014 or the Revolution of Dignity.

Also note that he was a colonel, not a general, so he didn't do as much political dicksucking.

That probably explains why some Middle Eastern leaders have noticable Western admixture. I do recall one of Assad's parents had British blood.

I don't think that site is very useful.
For example, this BTR-80 is recorded as Russian:

and this BTR-80 is recorded as Ukrainian:

They look identical to me, and I don't see any markings on either of them. Yet somehow, the author of that blog post put them in two different categories, and did not give any reasoning why.
Not to mention the obvious points about time and place, there are subtle differences between Ukrainian and Russian BTRs. When we talk of Soviet equipment, we can't always expect absolute uniformity, but there are some things that do stand out.

First is the colouring. The Ukrainian BTRs usually have digital camo applied in all parts of the vehicle, including the turret. Ukrainian vehicles also tend to have the rear storage boxes removed. These are removable and are also sometimes missing in Russian vehicles, but Ukrainians seem to have purposefully removed them from their vehicles. The Russian special forces occasionally also use camo in their vehicles, but this is clearly different from the standard Ukrainian ones. Russian vehicles are usually plain green, though.

Also, the updated, post-Soviet, communications systems are different, so if the vehicle has an antenna, the antenna can be different. Observe the differences below:

Russian:

Ukrainian:

If you look at the seemingly unburnt turret of the vehicle identified as Russian, there is no trace of a two-tone camo. The rear storage boxes are also present. It also has an older style antenna. Due to these details, the vehicle is likely to be Russian.

If you look at the vehicle identified as Ukrainian, you see that the rear storage boxes are missing and that there is a white spot at the front of the vehicle that roughly matches the light yellow of the usual Ukrainian camo pattern. It's hard to definitely identify the vehicle simply based on these details. The picture is so poor that it is hard to make out any other details. This vehicle would have to be definitely identified based on its location and orientation. However, if I had to bet, I would say it is more likely to be Ukrainian than not.

TLDR: The site seems to be pretty good and accurate. I've yet to see any vehicle that would be blatantly misidentified. The Turkish analysts seem to be worth their hash.

Walter White served too? Damn he got around.

This is probably the first major war by a superpower that was started in the social media age.

Iraq and Afghanistan started before social media was a major part of our lives. The average Joe and Jane was getting curated news from whatever the idiot box told them.

@JosephStalin and @Jet Fuel Johnny and @mr.moon1488 can attest to the mainstream media and press being in bed with the DoD ever since Vietnam and the government basically approves what the people hear or the journalists are on their own without US military protection and, government assistance.

It had to be Russia funny enough to kick off the war and we seeing how much of a clusterfuck propaganda is when the power of the government and media gatekeepers, is much weaker than before. And how much war never is clean.

If hypothetically the United States under Biden was going to invade Iran post Afghanistan withdrawal, which will be a guaranteed shitshow that would make Iraq and Afghanistan look like a day at the beach, there will be a lot of folks mocking the power of US military for being a joke and mocking the mainstream press for being uber retarded.

The US sustained many losses in equipment and personnel (lots of embarassing moments to boot) during the 2003 Iraq War. As well as their tenure in Afghanistan during the occupation period.

The tenacity and resourcefulness the Ukrainians exhibited were also seen in the Iraqi forces.

So when SJWs screech that Arab characters are being portrayed by white people, we can tell them to fuck off now?
That's the thing, there tons of different ethnicities and group of people in the Middle East, its very counter-productive to portray them as monoculture and monoethnic

I was once taught a class by this Persian lady who looked more like an European than an Arab, so I guess you're correct in a sense

A lot of the shit you're talking about with regards to storage boxes and antennas comes from third-party companies that do business with whoever. As an example, I've absolutely seen both Ukrainian and Russian soldiers walking around with FAST helmets on.
