it's in now and still getting updates while most games get dropped after a year so you buy the sequel.NMS wasn't even multiplayer until a year after release.
if he did you can quote it, right? not to mention there's a big fucking difference getting asked "will it have X, can you do Y" and the answer is a simply "yes" by some bloke of a indie studio and a company having several hundred people working on the game with a dedicated PR department and marketing strategy pushing the hype hard with celebrity endorsements and completely fake gameplay. The excuse of "he announced it too early" is bullshit as he was saying this shit would be there on launch just months before release. It was never advertised as being a game that would be expanded as a service, hence the huge controversy at launch. It is the exact same scenario as Cyberpunk.
No Man's Sky bullshit revisionist history is why so many companies at this point feel like they can get away with bullshit like this. But I do agree, this game will never be fixed on the scale of NMS because most of the main issues with the game are core gameplay and story issues that would require way too much money to completely reverse.
hardly any project goes as planned, and shit like that happened LONG before NV or NMS - see daikatana, see spore. we're at a point where fucking microsoft let's their fanbois do windows QA. if you want to blame someone blame retarded consoomers, lots of companies makes up bullshit to sell you shit, just check the date here:
that didn't start with NV or NMS, nor will it stop with cp2077, just look how many retards bought new world. and speaking of revisionism, NMS never got sold as a game bigger than fucking star citizen, but for some reason that was what people were expecting even if you take everything sean murray said at face value. same way people thought cp2077 will be so great it will be the last game they'll ever play. it's a fucking singleplayer game you can't even mod, at some point it's over and you can only replay it so much before you've seen every variation. even if cp2077 would've been a 10/10 game it still wouldn't meet the expectation some people made up in their mind.
