General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I'm still surprised that the manager didn't do anything when it came out. It was the hot topic the moment the message appeared and was even trending. Considering how members stream on weekends, it's strange for management to not even be on-call for things like this. In Rushia/Mikeneko's mind, she was pretty much caught with her pants down.
I'd wager the manager didn't want to risk doing something without consulting the higher-ups, but also didn't want to risk bothering them on a three-day weekend in case it turned out to be a nothingburger. "We'll deal with it on monday, lay low for now" was the compromise, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Enjoying the Fauna "emo" karaoke, but zoomers' idea of what emo means is very weird. Emo is Heroin and Sunny Day Real Estate and Rites Of Spring and Fall Into The Sear And Yellow Leaf—bands that sound like the loud songs on Zen Arcade. She's singing turn-of-the-century pop-rock. Also cool, but still.

The only thing that might've really stopped the notif from showing is to have discord in Streamer Mode which turns on by default as soon as you launch OBS. So, idk if Rushia disabled that feature in discord herself, it's an OBS-side glitch, or a discord-site glitch. If she had done the first thing though, then it's honestly horrendous OPSEC because that feature's literally there to protect streamers from things like this.
*The only thing that might've really stopped the notif from showing is using a second monitor.

I swear you guys could cause a company to get hacked since you failed to airgap and go like "teehee, i wasn't the one doing the hacking." The Niji guy who got suspended for the porn, he could have prevented that by changing the name. Stop relying so much on software communication and do things manually instead.

I guess this all goes to show how important managers are for entertainers. It seems so many are not equipped to deal with things to which a third party would find the solution trivial.

They could have handled it better, yes. Could Rushia have also not contacted KoreKore? Also yes.
We joke about Cover management being incompetent (and heck, they prove everyday that passes that they might actually be), but at the end of the day, they're not the ones that leaked confidential information to 3rd parties

@Scuttle Any idea why Debi is taking a 2 week break?

For the record, Ina is crushing Elden Ring. Easily the best person to watch, I think. Sorry Calli, Ina might be tutoring you in Bloodborne if that collab ever happens.
Ina and Irys are both pretty decent.

I don't recall Calli ever saying she was good at FromSoft games, just that they are among the very few games that she knows how to play and has cleared.

Hot Topic destroyed the public's perception of emo years ago when it started associating the term with a fashion style and not a music genre. I've learned to accept that "emo" just means long bangs and skinny jeans to most people, but it riles up my music autism too.

Emo as a genre lost all meaning when people started thinking Green Day was an Emo band

Correction on the Ina Members post from yesterday: Looks like one of the Takodachis was talking out their ass, getting Ina's hopes up about a Noel collab with her and IRyS. Kiara said Noel is playing on PS5 and she'll probably would ask for a Noel collab on ER if she ever wanted to pick the game back up. Damn.

Kiara said Noel has both for collab reasons in her most recent stream iirc

Miko would like a VR collab with Ame.

I love how Ame completely charms all the JP members she comes across. Compared to the other members of EN who have at least some rudimentary understanding of Japanese culture, Ame is a complete alien to them and it's really endearing to see them hammer out some improvised means to communicate through DeepL, and sheer will.

My mistake then, I was only half awake for the stream . That's good to hear.

I think Rushia's been deemed "toxic" by JP members since she went to a drama channel creator. The EN members who still mourn over Rushia haven't either gotten the memo yet, or are choosing to ignore that Rushia's a bit of a drama queen. She doesn't seem to think ahead or think very much about her senpai's and kohai's at all, considering that she was trying to damage control the shit herself. If she would've just shut her fucking mouth and laid low for about a week, Cover would've handled it.

Hololive members aren’t really known for their critical thinking skills.

Here's a good question. Toxic in what way?
Not talk about her on stream or not talk to at all?
