I wouldn't be surprised if people and nations learned to read between the lines, saw the pattern developing, and pulled as much currency out of US holdings and financial institutions as they possibly could. 2008 was a mere bump in the road for the right people.
For the past few years, you've had certain American citizens who have been denied access to payment processors. Then, you've had a huge portion of a country (Canada) frozen from their bank accounts. Now you have a series of payment processors denying services to an entire country.
If Americans were smart, they'd start pulling their money out of banks now while they still can.
"Slippery slope fallacy" no longer exists. We are all on the slope, and it never ends.
