For Kevin, he has made being trans his entire life and identity. Losing that label and community would leave him with nothing.Something that came to mind, not too long ago, was how Kevin once revealed that whenever a fellow tranny friend of his announced they were going to detransition that it'd cause Kevin quite a bit of distress.
It got me thinking that this is probably almost a universal reaction among troons. It makes a lot of sense.
Try to put yourself in their shoes. Granted, it's no easy task given the multiple layers of delusion they live within. It might be impossible to fully empathize with someone so disconnected from reality, but we can try anyway.
Imagine you've made the absolute worst mistake of your life. This mistake can't be fixed or undone. You've intentionally hurt yourself far more than anyone else would've ever hurt you. The only way that you have to deal with this, in your very limited toolbox of capabilities, is to keep telling yourself that this is what you really wanted. You absolutely cannot be honest with yourself about the gravity of your fuckup, it hurts too much. The best you can do is surround yourself with others that've fucked up as badly as you have. Your shared delusion helps keep that painful reality at bay.
Problem is, every now and then one of your fellow retards becomes honest with themself. The lies aren't making any of you happy and this buddy of yours has the gall to finally be honest with himself. He's developmentally light years ahead of you, simply by being able to finally accept the whole thing really was a mistake. His decision to detransition says that he thinks you've fucked up too. He has courage that you'll never have by being able to walk away from it all.
Ouch. That's really gotta sting.
