The United States' biggest problem is that they insist on following rules even though nobody thinks they are the good guys and everyone knows they are liars. Afghanistan should be a smoking crater devoid of life and the United States could have accomplished that in about a month if they wanted to. The world would be a better place if America actually used the power it had rather than kowtow to the sensibilities of citizens and nations that make no bones about how much they hate the United States.
I mean, when the US invaded they straight up just thought the Soviets were back.
Off topic, but Afghanistan didn't exactly hate America. They just refused to give up a dude who asked for sanctuary in their country. Then we toppled their (relatively new) government and spend years in guerilla warfare with the remnants of said government.
Scott Horton argues that many in the Taliban actually passed off information about OBL's whereabouts so he could get whacked guilt-free prior to 9/11 (as he was officially wanted for part of the 1993 attack), and the US didn't act on it. Even if one doubts that story, the fact is that there were Marines under Mattis' command available to cut off his escape at Tora Bora and they were told to stay put. So the US government has shown an interest in not wanting him dead until it was convinient to claim he got got and dumped in the ocean.

So, seeing how the Karabakh conflict might go hot again, I'm just gonna shit out a few predictions I think could happen. I know this isn't related to Ukraine, but it is related to Russia (and her possible future wars too). I'm curious to hear everyone's opinions. Azeris are already getting uppity as shown by their most recent compilation video about taking down Armenians, so a war might be in the horizon.

How would Russia go to war against Azerbaijan?

In Armenia's defense, perhaps. Russia has some peacekeeping troops there, if they end up getting accidentally (or not) killed by Azeri soldiers, Russia might step in in order to assure that the peace treaty is respected. Russia could try to repair her relations with Georgia and have them join in to retake land they claim from Azerbaijan in exchange for recognizing the two breakaway republics, much like they're trying to do in Donbass.

The likelihood of a war happening would be increased if Russia actually manages to conquer Ukraine.

Why does western powers have,

1) High currency value and stable economies
2) Top of the line military equipment and engineers
3) Overall good basic infrastructure (some peoples sheds/garages are built more sturdy then apartments in china)
4) More land per square inch with an easy to manage population size (we are comfy)
5) Almost every service I use is western built (how many people use Russian services not living in Russia?)
6) Best healthcare
7) Most consumer options
8. Main Producers of cutting edge technology and computers, shout out to Taiwan
9) Overall general happiness polled in the top 20 of worldwide nations
10) Most acceptable and tolerant countries to live in.
Because its Empire, just like Rome, now remind me why did Rome fall ?

Because they had smart whites with a great education system in the early part of the 20th century?

Good thing we don't use much Russian oil but I'm sure that won't matter to gas prices.

Imperial overextension coupled with having its primary productive lands outside of the imperial core?

You could certainly argue the former for the US but definitely not the latter.

I'm not talking about Afghanistan when I talk about nations and people that hate the United States. I am explicitly talking about the Western Europeans that have built utopian states off of the back of the United States military and American tax dollars, while actively spiting the United States and putting forth minimal effort to keep their place in the world secure; and I am talking about the fat and happy Americans that actively undermine the government and nation that has allowed them to be lazy, ignorant and self-righteous.

hard hard hard disagree

that's a small loudmouth extremely online minority

then there's a bunch of people who just want to grill.

two minutes hate doesn't actually work on the second group. people just don't care that much. Orwell wrote a good book but he was imagining things and tech he hadn't experienced.

now what the elites *can* do is keep the masses disinterested in politics, by associating political involvement with the loudmouth minority.
They largely leave the Proles alone. The propaganda and rule by fear is for the Outer Party.

Piracy is about to become big business.

The US Navy keeps the oceans safe from pirates for everyone, even its enemies. This is not in any way normal. The navy does that to ensure the free flow of goods and energy, particularly oil. Now America is now oil independent. Why would the navy protect the oceans for the Chinese?

Imagine how much ransom money you could make if you could hold up oil tankers heading to China in the Indian Ocean. Oil prices spike which benefits American shale. Dumb, scared capital flees Asia which benefits American capital markets. Countries have to buy expensive weapon systems which benefits American arms manufacturers. Imagine the sea shanties.

It's weird that you specifically mention Afghanistan then but ok

The problem is more that the US DoD is answerable [kinda] to at least a segment of the American public: the parents of its troops. They care less about the bad press generated by making total war against the refuse of humanity than they do that which can be generated by the appearance of throwing the "best" of America's youth into a meat grinder.
If you want to win, throw the soldiers into the meat grinder and build them a memorial later. The people can and will be told what to believe.
