He's got the US and a majority of Europe simping for Ukraine so why not keep milking the conflict? Zelensky's masters don't want things to end yet. American media have been covering Ukraine non-stop for ratings and to distract the public from domestic issues that Biden's policies have created.

If the Ukrainian government were smart, they would've squashed the Azov Battalion as soon as possible, they handed Russia a humanitarian rationale for invading them on a silver plate by allowing the Azov Battalion to cross the border & kill thousands of Russians.

America's owners really need Russia to take the fall for current gas prices. That's why they were poisoning the well when this conflict started despite gas already being up the ass, blame it all on Russia. So what if PedoJoe canned the Keystone pipeline, so what if America has so much oil it's capable of exporting it... they will keep the pumps on Empty, force the plebs to suffer, and try to use that rage to galvanize them against the Bear.

OSINtechnical fairly certain Gen. Vitaly Gerassimov is dead, nephew of Valery Gerasimov reportedly to have been canned as Chief of General Staff, While a little doubtful, he believes an FSB officer phoned his boss who swears at the news.

This would be the second after Major General Andrei Sukhovetsky, shot by a sniper, it appears. Fox news reported it. Again, not 100%, and the first account is far more credible, but quite possibly two dead generals.

The deceased soldiers' families are now receiving unceremonious papers or Whatsapp notifications informing them their loved ones' have died during a "special military operation." So as long as the mounting deaths don't cause an uproar threatening his regime at home he won't lose sleep over dead soldiery.
