To be honest what would be needed would be UN forces stationed there to keep Ukraine safe and prevent both sides from shenangians (big fucking chance that won't stop) And which country would be sane enough to lend forces for this powderkeg? This feels more and more like a repeat of the occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1938 with the BIG difference that this time shots were fired. And even if the conflict is ended this way does anyone think Russia will be welcomed back into the banking system, inteernet, what have you? Putin will most likely use the sanction as pretext to rid Russia of unwanted media and push the Russian banking alternative to Mastercard / Visa (with maybe some support from "wrongthinkers"). Hardening for future wars and also a creation of a paralell economy. Or as some would say a slap in the face for globohomo
This whole thing is just restarting the cold War over. There are going to be separate blocs on entirely different Internets, banking systems etc. Both still nuclear armed and diametrically opposed to eachother. Boomers have been wanting Russia back as the big bad, they just got what they wanted.

instead of reversing the fuck out of the way and speeding off they just wait there to be blown to pieces.
It seemed like the tank shot at the car first when it stopped, so the passengers could've been killed like that originally. Also, if the man driving the car died, perhaps the woman tried to get him to reverse, only realising too late that he was dead.

immediate family was asking about the idea that "wait, are things really this bad" and I had to explain the cultural meanings of DEFCON 2
and so I got into "this may be unlikely but..." and had to drop the harsh truth of why as somebody who has to follow international politics for a living why I just drink from the bottle these days
Basically, if things don't cool off, well, we'll have a few hour to get our atomic war music selections together before we get to watch the pretty lights.

It's always been a problem, but after the coup in 2014 it became a disaster, they threw away everyone who didn't support them and put loyal retards, who supported the coup. There was a ukrainian minister of health, who had USA citizenship and wasn't even a medical professional. For some time there was a minister of defense who spent all his time in the army in support troops i.e. without actual combat training, at one point in 2014 he claimed that ukies were attacked by nukes on Donbass, I am not kidding, this is ukrainian source, just use translator. There was also a minister of railroad, who was a fucking musician and had no idea how any of this works.
I assume this is more Ukie corruption and not US pressure on their puppets right? Even burgerland wouldn't be so stupid as to put pressure on them for these appointments right?

It's sad how many people buy into Putin's lies/the Kremlin narrative.

Here is what's true:
* Russia has been bullying Ukraine for 2/3rds of a decade now
* As a result, Ukraine has been adopting a pro-Western stance
* Russia gets pissy and invades because it doesn't like the West not telling it not to meddle in Ukranian politics
* Russia signs declaration of war overnight and invades in the morning

Here's what's not true:
* Ukrainian regime is somewhat neo-nazi and geniciding national russians inside its borders
* The current Ukranian president is some Nato/Western puppet
* Ukraine was somehow bullying Russia for 8 years now
* Half of Ukraine is struggling to be its own independent state and Putin, like a Superhero, came in swooping and displaced the neo-nazi fascists trying to stop that from happening

Also:
* There's both Ukrainians and Russians living in Ukraine
* The president is a corrupt piece of shit (like all East European politicians); that's what happens when you put a slavshit in politics
* Ukraine can't win this war
* The entire Eastern Europe hates Russia/russians, not just Ukraine nationalists

And now China will get all those sweet, sweet natural resources, Russian weapon technology and them being clearly the weaker one of the power bloc.
Coupled with China's huge industry, which the west foolishly outsourced to them and unlimited manpower, I am not betting on the unraveling American empire and their useless allies/vassals.

It’s a bit retarded to dunk on Ukraine when some Russian tank decided to shoot a stopped car literally doing nothing.
The best part is the people trying to justify it because the invaders felt threatened.
I mean I don't care particularly much, but you just know how much whinging there would be if the Ukrainians gave Russian civilians 4 seconds before demolishing them with a 20mm burst

Might be a good time to look into horses as a means of travel again.
