Have they taken Kyiv yet?
Russia could level Kiev to the ground, they haven't because they are trying to negotiate a settlement and put pressure by starving out the government with their cauldrons. They fight wars differently than the west.
Friendly reminder that Null already explained 90% of the arguments in this and the last thread.

He's not totally right, I mean nukes were in the Ukraine but they never had and never were going to get the ability to use them. It's like saying you have a BMW because it's parked in your driveway but you will never get the keys and be able to drive it.

Even if America enters its equivalent of Weimar/Yeltsin years
Please, We're already hurtling into the worst aspects of Weimar BS rn with Trannies and disguised molestation camps.
Dont worry, good things will be around the corner in post-Weimar! SOMEONE will come along and get rid of all the BS!

What are YOUR honest thoughts about this whole conflict? Like how do you guys feel about it?

Not a lot of notable activity in the Russian telegrams and Twitters right now, so I'll sum up all of my current thoughts.

I went into the first thread on the day it all began with a cursory understanding of Russian history, a lack of knowledge on Ukrainian history, and a natural taste for conflict. Knowing close to nothing about both countries' histories, I naturally rooted for Ukraine because they were the defending force. I was aware of at least some corruption in Ukraine however; the presence of celebrity politicians like Zelensky and Klitschko (mayor of Kiev) was all that was needed to prove this.

After gaining more knowledge on the nature of Ukraine and Russia, I quickly went on the side of Russia. To my knowledge, Ukraine is not culturally different from their invaders, and before, I assumed the difference was as pronounced as the one between Russia and Poland, however the only I could find difference lies in very slight alterations in spelling (e.g. Kyiv vs Kiev, Chernihiv vs Chernigov, etc.), among some others that I'm not aware of, which is perhaps, itself a testament to the fact that there are no notable differences. Also, it seems like Putin is only interested in taking land east of the Dnipro, which is where most of ethnic Russians in Ukraine live.

I also overestimated the strength of the Ukrainian military. Russia's gaining ground much more quickly than I expected, and I don't really know what to say. The overestimation stems from me simply thinking that Ukraine had a competent military because everyone else has one.

Given the footage, money's still on Russia, and that was my opinion close to day one. Now, do I think the fact that Russia is winning is a good thing? Well, no, but it seems like the lesser of two evils. It's clear that Ukraine can't even force Russians to accept a pyrrhic, costly victory, and at this point, to resist and fight for Ukraine is to die, almost automatically.

Whatever the outcome, I hope it's quick, and I hope that both the Ukrainian and Russian gov't get replaced by American style gov'ts over time. They're not perfect, but they're certainly better.

Sorry if my analysis was superficial. I don't care that much for these countries; I just wanted to see some fireworks and guns blazing. If one of these countries was a top exporter of rice and red meat, I'd probably invest more time into this.

I'm more of the opinion that the reason Poland didn't want to immediately sent the jets was because they fear Russian retaliation, especially since when the news first broke, Putin gave another warning about "interfering" in the war. Poland sending the jets to US first was just a technicality to avoid Russian wrath
It's not letting me reply to you so I'm quoting you manually, sorry if I messed this up.

There's no doubt that the primary reason is Poland not wanting to paint even more of a target on itself, something made exceedingly difficult by pressure from allies who started talking about it as if Poland came up with the idea, and without even consulting it before giving it a "green light". The official communique from Polish ministry of foreign affairs specifically pointed fingers to Blinken's statement for a reason - there's a lot of diplomatic salt conveyed there.

Pentagon has apparently said this isn't happening now.

Reddit is absolutely seething now - they legit thought these were going to roll in and DECIMATE Russia's forces. There are threads with people trying to 'Legalese' a way of getting them into Ukraine- Because Russia is totally not gonna get upset if they get caught with a Reddit 'Gotcha' and distinguish that they received the jets on a technicality
Where are they going to take off from? Fighter jets and ground-attack jets are useless without intact airfields, a source of fuel and ammunition, and sufficient pilots. It's basically a fool's errand to ship them to Ukraine in the first place. Their only possible practical use would be to sortie from outside Ukrainian territory, but that would count as NATO participation and lead to a Russian escalation. They're trying to take advantage of a loophole that doesn't actually exist.

There's nothing more Globohomo than Channel 4 News. They'd probably disgust George Soros, and OVD mightn't be wholly legit (although their stuff looks a bit more home made and genuine than some astroturfed stuff), but there seems to be some degree of protest, including meetings with angry army mothers. Maybe, health warning etc.

What was surprising, though was trad Cath blog gushingly quote tweeting Channel 4 news. It's sort of trippy, although to be a bit 'no fun' the editor 'New Catholic' mightn't be aware of just who he's quote tweeting. Otherwise it's end of the world in its own way.

These dumbfucks realize that Russians have televisions and on those televisions these sorts of abject lies get broadcast without comment. Right?

How can you expect to solve anything when you're saying retard shit like this. Which one of you is Chuck Schumer? You're supposed to say this stuff in this thread, not on the national news!
