Yes, and no. We are encouraged to visit jw.org (obviously), but we’re not encouraged to only visit jw.org.Currently? Aren't you discouraged from visiting pretty much any web site that isn't jw.org?
It depends on the state if we're talking about an American. There are several states, such as California and New York that have taken on the Uniform Enforcement of Foreign Judgments Act, in which they will honor judgements against you from a foreign country. So Mr. Ladyboy may actually be able to do something if he can manage to win in court.I mean, he can threaten one, but I don't think he has any grounds for one. Certainly not for criminal charges.
That's if he can even prosecute him in Croatia, I have no idea how or if these apply internationally.
What is the context even of this video? Are they acting like they're being persecuted for being JWs? Are they saying it was rude to arrest this guy for X offense and they support him no matter what? I have many questions, this is hilarious.I guess frivolous litigation is a tactic he learnt in Watchtower. Their legal department does love to threaten people with lolsuits.
However, I bring some nourishing spiritual food from the JW online library to cheer everyone up in the face of the attorney-at-Lloyd. My favourite song about litigation and standing in front of court officials.

For I am convinced that death nor life nor governments can separate us from God's lulz

Oh yeah, the organisation loves to make "persecution porn", as Lloyd calls it, though he has porn on the brain, so. Basically, because Jesus said his followers could expect to be persecuted, Watchtower says "JWs are persecuted, therefore we are Jesus's true followers" (ignoring all the other religions that get persecuted in different times and places and also claim to be the one true religion). What is the context even of this video? No wonder this guy has a persecution complex if this is how he was raised. Once you get that bashed into your brain for a few decades it probably sticks. Just like he stuck it in a ladyboy.Oh yeah, the organisation loves to make "persecution porn", as Lloyd calls it, though he has porn on the brain, so. Plus it's good PR for them, they can use it to back up their claim that the outside world is horrible and hates them, so the followers stay in the organisation. So they do a lot of re-enactments of historical persecution of JWs.
Also, this is depicting the Great Tribulation, which is the time just before Armageddon when all the world's goverment(s) will persecute JWs and you'll have scenes like SWAT teams raiding their prayer meetings.
I'm not entirely sure when they predict it'll happen, it's usually "soon". Governing body member Stephen Lett has said that the coof pandemic means we are living in the final part of the last days, undoubtedly the final part of the final part of the last days, shortly before the last day of the last days.
You can leave the cult, but leaving the cult mentality is much harder.Literal cults of lolcows of many flavors, current or ex members.
Ex members who accuse their cult of degeneracy turn out to be turbo degenerate themselves.
It's as funny as those alcoholic priests who preach against alcohol and sexual promiscuity on the pulpit. Hungover as shit and covered in herpes sores during morning sermon.
New age cults like Scientology, Happy Science and other are vehemently anti science, have batshit beliefs and are extremely ligitious.
Ex member aren't any better, large chunk can't just shake off anti science bullshit in entirely and join cult of social justice and troon dom due muh repressed sexuality among other things.
I find it ironic that many ex member need a cult of personality of mindless yes men like JW hierarchy just to get by.
Stephen Lett has got some real Marshall Applewhite energy, not gonna lie.Governing body member Stephen Lett gave a talk a while ago about how JW faggots could be resurrected, but would have to stop being gay if they wanted to stay in the paradise earth. A lot of ex-JWs including his niece saw this as a sore point because he had a gay nephew who committed suicide.
PL: I am a JW. AMA.
Judicial committees aren’t a very often occurrence at all. Usually, rank and file members of the congregation are given a warning at first and then censored if the problem persists. What constitutes a call for a judicial committee is pretty much at the discretion of the body of elders of said congregation. For example, I’ve heard of people that got caught smoking weed being censored, but there was another instance in a different congregation where someone who confessed to taking part in a threesome (a much more grave sin) was given the same punishment. Those that are excommunicated usually, from what I’ve seen, keep contact with immediate family (of course, this can definitely differ).Regarding judicial committees, do you guys know if they happen? If so, does it happen often? Can/Do you speak of those that are out?
What do you think about the branch rep being at Lloyd's judicial committee? OP mentions that it is not normal, but is it really that big of a deal? Croatia is small so is it possible it's common there?
Sorry for doublepost in advance.JW give me the creeps. They actively target children outside the cult for indoctrination. My kids have received Christmas cards addressed to them specifically and they know a creepy amount about them so someone who knows us has snitched and although I suppose I understand that it's done with "good" intentions, it's fucking gross.
It does seem to me that a lot of these people that leave may leave this cult but still remain culty in a lot of ways. I can understand that, must be difficult especially if you grew up in it.
The kids that Kingdom Hall targeted was their own based on my reading of the post, so that's where that story came from.Sorry for doublepost in advance.
We don’t celebrate Christmas, and we don’t have Christmas-card themed pamphlets. Also, we don’t speak to kids without their parents present. I don’t know where you got this story from.

While I cannot speak for every congregation, it is customary to receive tracts in the mail after the receiver has reacted positively to the idea of opening a correspondence. I’ve personally never seen an occurrence where tracts have been sent out before receiving some sort of approval. It's my story and it just happened this past Christmas, I don't want to give personal details but before this they also would show up to the house with specific things aimed at them. I would post a picture of the card but I got rid of it. I do still have the angry email I sent to the JW email address listed on the card. I assure you this isn't a made up story. Perhaps they do things differently in different areas. Also it may not have said anything about Christmas specifically, but it was sent during the holidays and most definitely had Christmas themed artwork (red and green, trees, etc)

As for the witnesses showing up to your home with tracts aimed at you, when we went IRL witnessing we’d carry a variety of tracts that cover a range of topics to relate to the homeowner. For example, toys outside of the house will signal that you have a family, so they’ll pull out whatever tract they have that talks about family.
Notoriously everything is the same everywhere. Even their midweek bible studies are based off the same program produced top-down from the people at JW HQ (Bethel) and you should hear the same message in every congregation, worldwide (where possible).Perhaps they do things differently in different areas.
