With the Russian Army slowly encircling Kiev, I think now is the appropriate time to start bets on what happens with Zelensky. I normally wouldn’t be down for wagering on the death of most people, but this absolute manlet has both tried to start WWIII at every turn while throwing babushkas and teenagers into combat while he shows off staged photos of him wearing rifle plates in 2020.

It's the high ethanol blend (85% ethanol 15% gasoline).

Not recommended for use in older cars or during winter. It's also less efficient then regular gas so you need more of it (it's not actually a cost savings unless it's more than 20% cheaper then regular unleaded).

There's E85 and 85 octane which are two different things. If it's E85 then introvertedobserver covered that, but if it's the other stuff I think it's a holdover from the days where vehicles were carbureted and high altitudes would really screw with the fuel/air mixture unless you either changed fuel or rejetted and adjusted the carb to deal with it. the higher you go the lower the air density so the engine starts running rich. I would think that modern engines with EFI could trim for that while running 87 but I dunno, meanwhile the only new engines I've seen with carbs these days are small utility engines like found on lawnmowers or the two-strokes on snowmobiles and dirt bikes. Maybe it's still around for them?

I used 85 (not E85!) by mistake once even though the gas station was at a really low altitude so I dunno why it was even there, didn't notice any difference vs 87

Are you sure that isn't E85? You need a "Flex Fuel" car to use E85. If your car doesn't say flex fuel or has a yellow gas cap don't use E85.
